I've programmed things in to arrive at Stafford services for 0830hrs which will give me 30mins grace if things go pear shaped. I'll have my phone turned on too DaveT promise :poke:

So that means leaving here no later than 0530hrs (yawn) Hope we have a dry run up, nothing better than the roof down that early in the morning. Dee is in Dublin at the moment and there was talk of her going directly to the IOM but she couldn't trust me to pack her things, whats wrong with jeans and a tee shirt?

Just washed the car and now charging all the batteries for cameras, phones etc. Need to find something to put a litre of oil in because i don't want to lug up 5 litres. Do we need licenses for the track? Don't forget your crash helmets - easy done

See you all tomorrow,

Chris

Don't panic Mr Mannering! does anyone know if the Asda at Runcorn does 97+ ron? My car goes into 'ron' withdrawal if it doesn't get what it wants. Otherwise i'll have to look for another fuel stop cos i guess IOM prices will be a lot more unless they have their own oil wells

Spent the evening with Gerald on last minute checks - beer, food, Lotus chat, putting the economy back on track. :D

Leaving at 05.55hrs, so up at 05.00hrs to pack (and clean car (yeah right!)).

Shower cape, wellies, umberella-ella eh eh (behave, behave soft lad!), speedos, snorkel, keep net, parachute, life jacket.....check mate.

Forgot to fill the tank, tyre pressures, track insurance, book time off work (remind me to phone in sick from Stafford Services).

Have I got time at Cambridge Services to change brake pads?

Hi all
Met up with a few of you at ASDA with the intent to follow you all through to the ferry terminal and say hello (collect group buy form Paul you have PM) but the exhaust split on my car on route to ASDA so did not want to cont onto terminal, but was nice to meet up with the people in the car park , saw the rest of you parade into petrol station in a rush to get petrol and proceed on to terminal. Nice to see number of elans together shame I never got to say hello to a few more people, hope you all made it to the ferry on time.
