I have been on the phone to the island this afternoon and spoken to several peeps. The forecast locally on the island is for no severe weather and no significant rain for the weekend.

I am told that only 2 peeps have booked the trackday. I am one of them. Sign in is now 1030-1130. On track 1200 to 1500. Open pit lane.

that the proper name for the Isle of Man is Ellan Vannin or Ellan Man.

that two of the earliest TT riders and winners were brothers Kenneth and Edwin Twemlow.

that the Isle of Man had the sense not to join the European Community.

If its too rough we'll not be on the 1215 fast cat but transferred to the ferry- a longer rougher crossing.

Ferry cancelled yesterday.Got put on later one. Got here v late. V wet track day ahead. weather horrid now. DaveEds and I did the TT course before breakfast. Wet and windy.

Got a mention on Manx FM last night after meeting up with LEF's Islandbloke (Stuart) for a coffee during the day - he's a DJ/journo, - "look out for the Elan boys, they're a nice bunch, give them a wave if you see them".

Weather was spot on today and we've been touring roof down all day.
