Chris, Don't know if you remember my post from a while back were somebody hit my wifes car (I was a drunken passenger, otherwise i'd have caught our asian buddy :evil:

) and sped off. We got his number and informed the police. Nothing happened. The same weekend we saw the same car, this time I was driving. I blocked him in at the lights but the fecker reversed. We chased after him in the car and rang the cops to say we had the car that had been involved in a hit and run in our sights. I didn't say how serious the 'hit and run' was, for all the police knew someone could have been seriously injured, as it happens it was relatively minor damage. They said there was nothing they could do.
I had to reluctantly let gupta disapear into the distance.
Nothing ever came of this incident.

My truck got hit by some tosser in another truck whilst I was stationary, he drove off but I got his reg number and phone number on his rear door.
Reported it but nowt happened regarding this incident.
Both the above incidents involved hire vehicles.

Looks like your going to have to stump up a grand Chris or face an annual insurance hike for a number of years :evil:

just to answer Paul - looks like insurance is the way its going but i have been told that some insurance companies will not cancel ncb if the other driver didn't stop. Does anyone know which ones these are?

Right camping, if i'm shelling out 200 for ferrys i would like to go for longer than a few days especially as some of that time will be travelling. Date - when its sunny please. Ohh could we get a group buy on ferry fares :lol:

July 15th to 20th would be cool for me.....

am going to Le Mans Classic on 10th July for 5 days and fancy a 'break' on the way back :-D

Triggered by the TV coverage of the Tour De France mountain stages, we are in the process of planning a two week long hotel trip through the Pyrenees mountain area in 2008.
On the way down there we might be able to join a group on the camping for one or two days. When there is a hotel near the caping site that is.
All depends on the date the camping trip takes place off course.

Hi gareth i have booked a guest house about 40 mins drive from LM. Done the camping thing and i want to sleep and be more comfortable this time. More than happy to meet up at the circuit though. Would like to stay at the aforementioned either before or on the way back but would want to stay in the house rather than under canvass. Anyway i'll wait to see how it pans out.

My mum managed to track down this thread :!:

On a positive note, really happy with it, and also really happy to provide:-

-A bed and breakfast service (first come first served)
-Letting of the Gite (again first come first served)

This should cater for anyone not wishing to brave the great out doors

On a more serious note we need to agree a set of dates so the above can be arranged with anyone wishing to take advantage of the above.

Also will give us something to plan around (we can try to find out what else may be going on in local area)

At the moment I have complete flexibility on dates.

Hi Iain, quite a few of us are going to the Le Mans classic in 2008. It would be good to combine the 2 trips in which case. So how about July 14th (monday) onwards say to friday. The only thing is i won't be camping so if i could book a double in the Gite that would be great. Still quite willing to go with the majority. BTW will we have to book the ferries early for that time of the year, especially if we need cabins?
