I'll be there too but touch and go whether the Elan will make it
On Friday B&C confirmed that the head gasket has failed, so now debating whether to fix it or lay it up and trade it in unfixed against my Eagle coming in January or find another Lotus or some other plan!

I'll probably be joining the regular SELOC/PistonHeads/Furballers run down from Guildford Cathedral on Sunday ... assuming Plans finish the head gasket work by the end of the week. If not, I have a kind offer of a run down in a 2-11 (OK, so strictly speaking it isn't a soft top )

If the weather's not so good and/or the Elan needs significant running in post the engine work, then I might potter down from Dorking via Billingshurst, Petworth and Duncton Hill if anyone wants to join me. Probably won't know firm plans till Friday night/Sat am, so PM me your phone/email if interested.

Chris, my Elan's not going to be fixed in time for Sunday so I'll be catching a lift down in a friend's 2-11 instead

Got to be there early, as it's being placed in the line up on the pit straight, so won't be convoying now. Will look out for you down there.

Chris, saw you arriving and chuffed you got onto the pit straight to showcase the Elan - looked really shiny! Shame the weather seemed to have put quite a few off. I saw a red SE but didn't catch any others. I paxed in the 2-11 - fun on the way down but got soaked going home

Yes, thanks Chris we did get back safely, but we were very nearly involved in a nasty accident on the M23,

But apart from that and dispite the weather it was a morning well spent, as well as yourself and your better half we also got to chat to two other Elaner's, .

yes i did see that one, it was strange that this one and the old rusty 2CV's were getting a lot of attention
