I'm going to make it back for Le Mans (24 Hr, not the Classic) but Castle combe is definitely not on for me this year.

I'll be there, as I live there! So I can bring a vast picnic and BBQ if needed.

I missed it last year as I didnt know :( but realised something was up as I drove down to Poole and passed about 30 loti on the way!

I won't take Blacky on the track, she has been so well behaved off it and its the big race to Le mans classic 10days later - so I can't risk it. Driving to le mans in a mondeo would be just so depresing..and its depressing enough sitting in a mondeo at the best of times!

But I am coming!

Yea thats one way of looking at it mike. Mondeo driving to Le mans could be a lot duller than doing it in the Elan :-)

Does LEC have like a club stand at this day? Or is it just random parking nearside to track and in the carparks?

Am not sure about LEC, but I could give Lucy Cole a call and see if we could arrange a special parking area for Elan's...

Its a bit tricky to get type parking - there's noone to manage or enforce it and loads of drivers just park in the nearest free spot...even if its clearly previously been taken with spare tyres, tools, etc awaiting the return from a track session. Not very considerate really. Having said that, usually the Elans are in the corner as the entry road turns right parallel to the track. The Esprits back up to the track fence, the 70s Elites take the cafe side of the first island, the historics bag the hard standing close to the sign-on building, and the 50s Elites park up behind them. Elises/Exiges go everywhere. and some numpties in a mondeo/golf/vectra will break up the spectacle by parking in the middle of a line up instead of out of the way.
