i'll go if theres more interest. bit of a long drive for a trackday, might not get permission from the enemy. would be good to race other elans though.

Maybe we should do this as the LEC camping trip then, so peeps who don`t want to do the track day can still come and watch.

Could do 2 niter, friday 21st April to sunday 23rd April and do the track day on the saturday.

So who`s up for this?

ps could always have another camp trip in say september at the lakes

Castle thing? The oly castle thing I am aware of is the one right by the lake. It is directly the otherside of the lake to Llanberis, the old slate quarry is further to the right as you loot at the hill from the town.

If I am to track then staying Friday night will be essential.

I need new tyres and would ideally like to upgrade Blipi's brakes before then but cash is being absorbed so quick with car issues at the mo I might have to survive with the pathetic brakes I currently have.

As a camping trip it should be a great laugh. A beautiful location and a great opportunity to meet fellow Lotus owners. And, if asked nicely, I may take passengers!

Deffo still on for a lakes camping do though.

Right, so can someone suggest camp site etc and get more deffo confirmations on attendance? I don't really want to book in and be on my lonesome

ok guys and girls
we have a place in wales about 40mins drive from the track......(thats about 25 in an elan then!!)
I will need to check if my parents are using it that weekend as they usually go for easter and stay on abit after (well these retired folk have nowt else to do)....
anyway if I can sort it I might be able to accomodate half a dozen or so....we have a double room a twin room and plenty of settee space....I'll also see if any of the neighbours are there or not to see if we cant use their place too!!!

Personally think it would be better trying to find a camp site closer to the track, saying that not even sure i can even commit to this yet :roll:

I can personally recommend Rhosneigr as a base having stayed there a few times - albeit in a house above the beach as opposed to a draughty campsite (the wind always blows in Anglesey)

Not much in the village and I think pubs may be a bit thin on the ground !! There's always the golf club and the 19th hole and quite a good yachting club where you can get day membership from distant memory. Gets very busy at weekends

Great for beaches, sand yachting and blustery walks

I'll spectate I think.......I'll wait til Ive done my msa first I think before I go making a mess of my pride and joy!!!!
did my iam test about 15 years ago...it was company policy to all those who got company cars.....they paid for you to do the course and they got a shed load off the insurance......

Firstly I need to keep expenditure down and Blipi needs new brakes and I am also getting shyte from a mate who had arranged to see me that weekend.

I checked up on the insurance and its just a bit rich for my blood at the moment I'm afraid, so I won't be able to make this.

Maybe next year - or when I get a job that pays some money instead of the penuts they give us monkeys in academia *sigh* (bitter? who? me?)
