John, the CL newsletter (i.e. John Cherry appreciation society fanzine) always arrives at the last moment. And then Booby complains that people pre-booked for Glamis and Culzean. He's never ever got of his arse to arrange a stand at Culzean before, hence all the individual entries.

The entrant plaque will look good on a black Elan Scott. Are you coming or are you doing that mad marathon stuff ??

I'll probably miss the Friday Le Mans Bistrotek pish up this year due to family commitments but will be there on the Sunday. Might make late Sat. evening but don't hold your breath !!

Sun - I'm cycling to Edinburgh to redeem my carbom emissions balance.

Sat - Waiting on Curry's to deliver a fridge/freezer, if a.m. I'll try to pop up to Callander for a natter, but if its p.m. I'm stuffed. Need to prep bikes too !

John - don't forget to prod Andrew into action - he needs to get polishing his car and also that cup needs a bit of a shine with Duraclit

Alan - are you camping Fri/Sat ??

Any other takers ?? Are you coming in the Elan or the clapped out TVR Stef ??

Just planning to camp on the Saturday. Sending off the form today so hopefully that's enough time to get all the stuff back from them.

I think you mean Duraglit. Or maybe not.

I've had no response form 'phoning Andrew so I wonder if he's on holiday. I'll maybe try going to his house.

Just talked to Andrew - he won't be defending his cup. Going to a wedding up north (yes there are places north of Aberdeen).

Anyway he's not been polishing his car as he's been doing house alterations (where have I heard that before? Oh yes, from me). However we agreed that we owe BigErch a visit sometime soon.

If I can get a hotel for Saturday I'll see you for an evening stroll, but if it's as difficult as last year I might just drive down very early on Sunday.

We're pretty busy these days so i'm gutted i can't make calendar. If anyone wants to come up to Ballater after Calendar on the Sunday then it'd be great to catch up. There's plenty room for camping and I'll keep some rooms aside for any wimps wanting B&B.

The roads up here are great fun as long as u don't get stuck behind a tourist bus :evil:

I fitted Mike's old exhaust last week. It's great to finally hear the engine

I was whipping an MGF last week and experienced the fuel cutoff problem. The little yellow light came on for a wee while and the engine was cutting out.

I met Billy Conolly on Saturday. He stays just up the road and had to stop at our gate cause one of the tourist busses got stuck on the bridge! Justine ushered the kids away after a while cause his language became more colourfull the longer he was stuck there.

Which day are you thinking of going to Callander? I could give you the daughterboard & switch kit back and save some postage :-D

As far as the dire warnings go, I don't think they will actually be any armed guards to keep you out. What happens is that people with the magic badge (maybe you could get Stef's) are allowed into one field, and people without it are put in the next field and have to walk over. People with the badge are also given the route map for the "scenic drives" etc, but since I'll already have had two or three hours of scenic drive getting there I'll just be looking to shoot the sh1t with those Elan owners present and get a beer. Saturday is a day of stuff for the entrants (and was a bit quiet last year) whereas Sunday is the day of the public show where all cars are supposed to be on the club stands, and was busier.

You've bought a landmark. That estate is a well-known location in this neck of the woods. Beautiful countryside, and the humpiest hump-back bridge I've ever seen. You must invite JimP.

I'll be passing in the October school holidays, so will call in; also Andrew Ennis is up for a day-trip out to see you sometime.

Could be a great place for an LEC photo shoot Archie. And what about inviting the Big Yin and Pammy over for a few beers and some f words ??? I'll drop in sometime when you've settled in and things are a bit less chaotic.
