My other half commented...Did you see Neil wringing out that towel, I'll never complain about a couple of drips again...

Shame about the rain, nice parking spot though...

Nice to see you all..

To utilise an old semi-relevant thread rather than just starting a new one, I've re-titled this.

The Vulcan Operating Company are keeping their cards particularly close to their combined chests, and are giving NO firm commitments to any untrusted sources.

But I'd really like to be around when XH558 starts taxiing, and it would be a dream come true if I could time it to be around when she took off for her first test flight.

So Dave Speck, this one's directed towards you as our "man on the inside" - any chance of a heads up if and when you hear anything? I don't want to drop you in it or anything, but as a fan since my teens, this is a major event for me and any info would be appreciated.

Ta! :D

No worries...

back in work tomorrow...

I'll try and source the information, or see if they've filed a flight plan yet..

I believe she's ready to fast taxi...possibly fly very soon...

Hangars open this bank hoilday, so you can see the completed article..

It all seems VERY ambitious - Duxford is this coming weekend and (AFAIK), no flight yet.
Someone has told me that 16 hours need to be completed and signed off before any display flying is possible - is this correct?

Oh, and I tried the VulCams but they seemed to be on a continuous loop of about 10 snaps from Friday. :?

Yes, thanks for that DaveS (and glad you didn't take it personally)!
Maybe they've taken her out for a walk...?
News on the site about an open hanger this Sunday. But I can't make it - I'll be in Bournemouth.
Looks like within a couple of weeks she'll be outta there.

Good vid DaveT - wish I'd been stood there instead. That was the highlight of the day.
Hope the next one is a bit drier - I nearly got trenchfoot!
