The whole day was fantastic and well worth the epic voyage across that their countryside from hilly Bristol to flat Norfolk! T'was truly Lotus country!
A look arround the lotus factory was a dream come true and a great show all together!

Thanks LOTUS! (all you have to do now is make the M250 and make a +2)

Bollecs, can't believe I missed this one

too much traveling in the weeks before and no time to sort a coolant leak put paid to any plans I had to meet up with you lot there.

Oh well, I'm sure the 50th anniversary is going to be awesome :roll:

It was a perfect weekend and a wonderful day at the factory.
It was my first time driving on the left side of the road and it was quite easy after a while.
After going to the gasstation i started my journey to Callais (France).
A 2 hour drive to the ferry terminal and waiting on the ferry to take me to Dover. After a meal at McDonalds i continuet my journey to Ipswich where i was going to stay in the holiday inn.
After a 3 hour drive and a long queue at road works i arrived at the hotel.
On sunday i whent back to a gasstation to fill the belly of my Elan, it was verry thirsty after the first part of my trip.
After 1 hour i arrived at the Lotus factory , it was a dream come true.
I had never seen so much lotus cars in my life.
The factory and the lotus design tour where better then i was expecting.
I never expectet so much freedom in a place, where on other days everything is top secret. PERFECT :-D

Sadly i had to leave at 3pm to be ontime for the next ferry home.
Thanks to the Lotus staff and Mike Kimberley for such a perfect day, a day to remember all my life.

What a great day, nice to meet some of the 'names' from the forum and some great photos and memories (photos posted to pics thread).

For me the best bit was the amount of lotus' seen on the way there and the way back - my arm ached from waving!

On the way home we tagged onto the end of a convoy of about 9 French Lotus' on their way back, (I presume), to Dover - all were Elises and Exiges except for one White Elan - Are you on LEC?

As the traffic built up and we all slowed down, great fun was had by passing each other, (depending which lane you were in) - sounds stupid, that something which normaly causes stress (heavy traffic), became interesting, purely due to the amount of Lotus' that could be spotted!

Thank you Lotus for a really good day out!

Great weekend folks, thanks for the lift Mr Eds and the hair is just starting to recover.

When I arrived early doors the fuzz were there showing off in their new car. I went up to them as asked if they were 'real' cops to which one (fully uniformed and white hatted up) replied 'do we look like real cops?'. I had to comment that he looked a bit fat to be a police officer. They didn't talk to me for the rest of the day!
