The new date proposed is only a suggestion and may be subject to movement a week or so either side, so please only pencil it in your diaries. As soon as I have feedback and confirmation from hotels I'll firm it up. Dont book your leave yet!!!!

I do actually quite fancy doing the Isle of Man trip next year, as well as the Serpentine Run which, this year, was excellent. My main concern is that my totally stock Elan will not be able to keep up with the other Elanchipped, Peco'd, Wilwooded, BOV'd uber Elans !!

Now I see why the event is never held on the Isle of Woman.
Personally, I will hold out until the event is held on the Isle of One Man and Four Hundred Women.

Strive for perfection in everything. (given time)
Take the best that exists & make it better. (given inclination)
If it doesn't exist, create it. (God did)
Ignore what I say. (good advice)

Actually Roland there is no issue about keeping up with anyone and most cars that go are stock. Apart from the track event there is no racing, just fast road driving within the limits of the law.

Just the one now, but this one's mine! - and it will be finished eventually..... - but also temporary custodian of a project until it is finished enough for Angie to drive it
...oh, and a 2006 Freelander destined for the jungles of The Gambia - 4500 miles across roads, desert and tracks - what could possibly go wrong?

OK folks
Due to popular demand and the need to co-ordinate track days and accomodation the dates are now changed to 10th to 13th July 2009.
I have provisionally reserved 8 rooms of various types and these will be held till 15th December by which time if you definitely want to come and be sure of a room in the preferred hotel you will need to book. BUT- before you start hassling over the arrangements I have some other calls to make re bookings to see what reductions I can negotiate.
This date gives us the best chance of some decent weather and really long days to take advantage of.

Had the car up on the ramps today to fit the new piper and got to examine the underside of my car. when we did that mountain pass with all the cattle grids there was one that had a hump on the otherside i really crunched the sump and scraped the prongerlon (think thats what its called). Paul i think you hit it hard too, better check your sump mate!
