Monty wrote:Well it's been slow for me this year getting out and about, so if the weather is good i'll be going to the Cars in the park. Who else is going?

Date(s): Sunday 7th May

Summary: Cars in the park @ Bolton Abbey

Venue:
Details: Large collection of Sports cars from TVR, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Renault, Lotus, Maserati and the list goes on. New and Old cars are welcome. Its not just about £30k+ car, every enthusiast is welcome. Check out the Gallery on the Organisers website for cars that have been to previous events. I'm taking my MINI cooper S . The Gate price at “Bolton Abbey” is £5 for all day parking. It just a friendly meeting of like minded car nuts. In a very nice location. With lots of great driving roads near by.

Went to Bolton Abbey today near skipton, took country lanes with the roof down and then the light rain started but carried on. As i got near to bolton Abbey the rain got heavy but kept the roof down till i got there :-D was quite amazed at how many cars turned up dispite the shite weather. There was only 1 other elan (BRG) and that belong to Brian (well his misses owns it) know as Badger on here and he`s only had it a week but he`s loving it.

Tony,

I can safely say u`ve missed that one  as that was last weekend and boy did u miss a good run out. just under 70 miles which lasted 2 hours, I was pax ride with Dico and his beast kept up with the Elises/Exige and seemed to handle very well. The best bit for me was watching one of the Exige over take 4 elises on a down hill left tight bend going up hill

This will be the last run out for 2006.

Looked at the weather forecast for tomorrow and hopefully will get a few hours of dry weather so Dico and I are going for a run up to the Cat & fiddle for about 12.30 for some lunch (long it`s not raining). Piston head are also doing a run from chesterfield up to the C&F for 1.45 and maybe the NORLOG`ers will be there to. So hopfully there should be something different to see.
