After lots of lube Blipi's steering is great, bt apparently the UJ needs replacing. Hope I'm not being done here.

We need to be at the Ferry terminal at 8am We could meet there as there is a large area just before the check in gates. Follow the signs for P&O Ferries and the car symbol and you'll get there. Warning you may have your car searched - well they have a poke around and ask you to open the boot, nothing too horrendous.

yes monty thats still the plan. Jim and i will be coming down in convoy from my gaff to dover. don't know what time you will hit the M25 and where but it can be iffy from about 7am onwards.

I have seen first hand what can happen when you make a mistake at the ring and the human body doesn't take it well (and believe me everyone will make a mistake, it's just a matter of time). Don't get into the Red Mist syndrome - it's not a race. Look after your car, warm up the tyres first and make sure you cool your brakes of afterwards by taking the car for a run off the circuit.

As someone said on an earlier post, carry money on the track for recovery - if you have an off make sure that you don't carry on if you are leaking fluids or have damaged the Armco - the bill will be enormous if you do.

My mate will be there this weekend. His name is Matt Collier (driving a shared Black Golf and probably flying round the circuit). If you get into trouble find him, he may be willing to help you out if you mention you know me.

Other than this, have a great time, its massive amounts of adrenalin pumping fun. Oh and take lots of photo's. I'll be there in October and whilst I have driven the ciruit, I am still not prepared to take the Elan (Yet!)

Nick cheers for the good advice. I will be taking it easy but the only thing that i am slightly worried about is getting hit by some other nutter. i will be using my mirrors a lot and hopefully will be able to spot trouble a little way off. If anything were to happen to any of us or any of our cars the whole trip would be a total non-grinner - so lets be safe.

well monty thats 2 different forecasts. I'll pack a brollie which is bound to put the rain gods off. Just hope we can pitch the tents in the dry. Seriously i've been watching these forecasts all week and they have changed every day. Have a good trip down guys and give me a call if you hit trouble but preferably not 3 in the am
