Hello all
Got back about half hour ago.
Soooooooo tired but safe and well and Blipi is all in one piece. As far as I know so is everyone else. Split from Dico/Monty going M11 off the M25.
Great place, fantastic local roads, great track and loooaads of bewtiful motors!
Been there, got the T shirt... what next??!

No idea what our times were - not quick, that's for sure.
Nothing prepares you for the gradients, the blind brows and the twists and turns, so you can't attack it like a normal circuit: it's more like a fast road trip, but what a trip! Bloody awesome!
We're thinking of either Spa or the Stelvio next year: any takers?

Yep need plenty off after that drive, Dico and I covered about 1400 miles
What an experience, wish i had taken Pinky
loved the Ring. Did 3 Pax rides off the lap including 1 in a standard elise and this bloke could drive and he recons sub 9 minute lap 
Had a great time, Big thanks to Delta and his wife and friends for putting up with us mad Brits

Hi All,
My report on the LEC trip to the old timers GP.
This trip is a must for all people who like cars. The whole adventure is about cars and racing. You can go and drive on a track that you have seen cars racing on the day before.
The campsite is right next to the circuit so you can hear the racing going on while you're having breakfast. the site is divided up into sections which are each designated to a different motoring group. We were with Klub Lotus Denmark courtesy of Jorgen (cheers mate). Jorgen not only supplied nice export carlsberg but a marquee which could keep everyone under cover if it rained.
It did rain but it didn't dampen anyones spirits. The first evening when we were so knackered from driving down when we went to the site restaurant for grub (thanks to Jim for interpretting the menu for us). The last night we went for a pizza with a great roar through the countryside before and afterwards.On the other nights we bbqed with the added bonus of having a raging camp fire to keep us warm. The fire was still going in the morning and with Stef doing a fine 'blow-job' was roaring away for breakfast!!
Downsides - getting there and back and the unpredictable weather (oh yeah and only 3 showers for god knows how many people!!!).
Upsides - great laugh, great company, great all round. If you haven't done it then do - not just the ring but the old timers gp weekend. Picture this - you're at a roadside cafe, exocitca parked in the cafe carpark and it also roaring up the road in front of you. Do it Do it!!!!!!
As for the ring, been there, done that, got the sticker and the badge (oh and the beer cups). It is a very difficult track, i think i would need to be on the track all day to get anywhere near quick. My time, well just a shade under 13.5 minutes, yes i know, shameful but you try it!!!
So now to the thanks.........
First of all Klub Lotus Denmark for inviting us and putting up with us - please invite us back again!!! (but i don't blame you if you don't)
Stef, who provided massive amounts of wood for burning from the forest (PS Stef was now known as the 'Log Sniffer' during our trip).
Jimp for interpretting menus and other useful stuff.
Davidjt for never ceasing to amaze on how you can get lost on a straight road
Monty for providing me with a cooked breakfast each morning.
Dico for acting as a constant source of amusement and for using copious amounts of deodorant cos i don't thing he got out of his clothes for the whole weekend.
Inga for being environmentally friendly.
Jorgen for being totally unenvironmentally friendly.
Sharon for providing the wet wipes.
Balou (the husky) for not biting me.
So shall we start a thread for next year and get a LEC section of the campsite????
