I'm off that weekend, as i'll have just got back from Northern Ireland on the Thursday.

Therefore, I won't be able to organise a lot as i'll be under water for 5 days!

But if you sort it out, we'll keep ya company

Just the one now, but this one's mine! - and it will be finished eventually..... - but also temporary custodian of a project until it is finished enough for Angie to drive it

...oh, and a 2006 Freelander destined for the jungles of The Gambia - 4500 miles across roads, desert and tracks - what could possibly go wrong?

I know that Geoff's speaking to Nige ref the availability/condition of the Stand Equipment.
I think it would be great to support this event (now they've outlined the content and cut the admission to a less restrictive amount) with a stand.
Unfortunately I'm busier than a busy thing on an extra busy day at the moment, so short of pledging attendance (if it's a goer) I can't offer much help I'm afraid.

Whos is up for attendance and are there any offers of Stand assistance/organisation?

Please note that you guys are all welcome to our hotel, the Wensum Valley, on Saturday night either to book a room if any are left or join us for the carvery and subsequent piss up. We're mainly staying again on the Sunday to do it all again too! :)

Here's my original post from LEF. If you want to stay you MUST state you are from Lotus Esprit Forum, or you won't get in, as we have the whole Hotel booked up!! :D

Once again I've sweated and toiled with our friends at Wensum Valley Golf and Country Club

http://www.wensumvalleyhotel.co.uk/

We have the Hotel Block Booked as of now. With 57 rooms available on the 22nd and 53 on the 23rd you have to be quick to get a room before they all go. Please mention Lotus Esprit Forum when you book to get a room.

On the Saturday 22nd I have arranged a full sit down Carvery dinner (which those who stayed an extra day last year will tell you was excellent) and we will take over the restuarant that night. At a rate of £7.95 (or £12.95 for 2 courses and coffee) it's a good deal (last year was £10 and nowhere near as nice). Don't forget beer was also quite cheap...... not that I'd be drinking you understand.

Local LEF members are welcome just for the evening if thats what they will like to do. (but numbers will be required).

Rooms are a little more expensive this year, because of their price increase. But at £54 the hotel is great value for money, with a pool, gym, beauty salon, hairdresser, 2 PGA tour golf courses etc. PLEASE NOTE: Price is for double occupancy, there is a charge for single so bring along the Mrs, Mr etc!

You'll also be pleased to know that I have arranged our own parking once again in our usual spot out back and I am in contact with Lotus to see if they can pick us all up directly from the Hotel rather than drive our cars to the showground. UPDATE: LOTUS HAVE AGREED LEF BUS SERVICE DIRECT FROM THE HOTEL!

WAIT FOR IT..................Ready Set GO!! So call on 01603 261012 now and get in on the second best LEF party of the year (My 40th Birthday is obviously the best).

I'm happy to help set up and man a stand.
Should we start another thread to arrange and coordinate it?

I'd be happy with camping, B&B, hotel - whatever!

At £54 a double, the hotel seems to be the place to be, as no doubt, we'ed end up going there for food and bevvies anyway.

Edit - the £54 is PER PERSON, based on double occupancy

Price of Hotel is £54pp but it is a good hotel for that price (2 PGA tour golf courses, Pool, Gym, Beauty Salon etc. Also we get secure parking, the whole hotel to ourselves, nice carvery for £7.95 (all you can eat), a bus to the factory next day (so we can all get pissed) and the rooms are much better than a travel lodge, for which you'd pay £50 anyway.

There are some B&B's down the road if you want to try. Just need Drayton High Road, or Drayton Road (they're all close to the venue) you can still come and party with us and just pay for the carvery.

Trouble with us Esprit guys is that we're snobs (well some of us) and like a nice place to stay. Just makes it a whole weekend instead of a 1 day event. 90% are also staying the extra day and sleeping over on the Sunday so we can partake of even more amber nectar!

I know this is going to make me sound like a right cheapskate (but I only just bought a new tent at the weekend and I want to start getting some use out of it), but do you know if there are any local campsites?

And nobody must let ChrisT near me with his bloody microphone (again), the git!
