Would be useful to know - also is there a standard corner/area where LEC meets?

According to the Club Lotus website, the event starts at 9am. No need to get there then if you feel it is too early though.
We do usually lay claim to our own patch :D Unless it changed last year, go into the 2nd car park (which will be Lotus only), through the gate, straight ahead & into the far left corner.

I have been watching the weather all week (praying for improvement on last year brrrrrrr), may still put gazebo in boot.

Cheers

Iain

Okay, as the day is approaching, and in response to the general questions, i've dug out my paperwork and decided on the following:-

Gates open at 0700, signing-on for 'trackers' from 0800.

All persons on track (driver and/or pax) need to attend a briefing (various times from 0800) and get a wrist band. Cars need to be noise tested and then you're free to line up as and when you wish.

All persons on track need a crash helmet, and to have arms and legs covered (also proper shoes, not sandals) - Tony please note - bring your own trousers!!!!

I am aiming to leave home at 0700 to arrive at about 0745 - 0800 - no allocated 'muster' areas - so whoever gets there first please try and find a suitable space - against the wire fence to the paddock as per last year is what i would suggest (for those unfamiliar with the layout - go in the competitors entrance, straight ahead, bear round to the right at the far side of the area and the bit of grass on your left next to the fence by the track).

If anyone has a different idea, pleased shout up.

I'll have the bbq with me, and a selection of 'basics' - rolls, sausages, burgers - if you want anything different, feel free to bring it along.
Dave

Just the one now, but this one's mine! - and it will be finished eventually..... - but also temporary custodian of a project until it is finished enough for Angie to drive it

...oh, and a 2006 Freelander destined for the jungles of The Gambia - 4500 miles across roads, desert and tracks - what could possibly go wrong?

I'm not going to be at Casle Combe this year, which is a shame. The S2 is back on the road in a legal sense after 18 months and I was going through the snag list with the aim of doing Castle Combe and then going to Le Mans a week later. Although it passed the MOT without a problem at the end of April when fitting new tyres last weekend we noticed a significant brake fluid leak from a rear caliper, I've since discovered this is a problem identified with the original Hi Spec rears. This is in hand (thanks Bob) but the car is not road, never mind track worthy. I have a lift to Le Mans so the Elan will be back on the road when fixed. We have family staying over this weekend and as I can't drive the S2 on track I don't have a good enough justification to spend the day at Castle Combe. I hope all who are going have a good day and the weathers kind, looking forward to the pictures.

Nige - track me down at Le Mans - I'll be driving down in the yellafella.

Pinky - I'll try blag a parking area as I am there early. Lauren is helping the Morgans out for the day, so those tracking be nice to my little girl please when you sign in. And she'll happily accept any pax rides offered.

:) I'm already there

Came across today, so we can do a bit of sight seeing,
it was a good test for new hood with all that wind and rain,
it kept most of it out, where it mattered , although it felt a bit moist behind my seat
we hope it cheers up for Saturday 8)

Mr T,

As geoff said, whatever you arrived in/on (even a number 16 bus), it would be good to have you there.

I'll probably be there a bit later (as usual before you say it Mr. Pink) as Peter's in the middle of GCSE revision. He's got a new camera and would love a PAX lap as he is just old enough this year!
