Caring with cars 2014 May 18th

It can be a good road - but having spent more hours than I care to add up dealing with cars which didn't make the bends properly (or should that be 'drivers'?), i wouldn't be too worried if I missed it.
A large convoy could be 'interesting' to say the least - but it would be a right-turn towards Portbury village (from the services), cutting across traffic, so i would expect it to fragment... Further fragmentation in the village itself (especially at the narrow bit just after the sharp right onto the hill)....... If people try to catch up it could go wrong, then you have a right turn at the top to get to the showground (bad enough at the best of times with a limited view to the left, let alone when you're trying to keep up with your mates).....

....Having been seen to pour oil on the idea, it could well be an excellent run if the drivers do it well (as I'm sure WE all would)....

Think I am inclined to agree with Mr Pink that road would be fab from Gordano to the downs school if it was just us using it but as that is not going to happen and it sound like there may well be a few cars meeting up it could become a bit fragmented as Dave said. With this is mind I will still be at Costa in Weston for about 9.00 for the statutory
coffee and if anyone wants to meet there thats would be great.
Ronne can I suggest we meet you in Clevedon at about 9.45 which gives us 15 mins to get through Tickenham and up to The Downs School, how does that sound to you?

By the way well done getting your Elan going, sorry I couldn't help with any advise i'm not gifted enough with the necessary knowledge.

Fab day at Caring with cars today, the weather was great and company obviously even better. Glad you got your car sorted in time Ronnie, and great that you managed to get there Dave well done to your gallant chauffeur for getting you there.
There might of only been the three Elans parked together but they did look good in the sun, by son thought he preferred them to the Ferraris, and he's not biased
Just wish I could make next week at castle coombe, maybe next year.

Has been a great day, even if i have come back sunburnt! Took the old girl down to Brean after for a pub dinner, id forgotten how much i love my Elan until today!

Lovely to see the Lotus's together it really is a rare treat, my other half has some lovely pics

Kinda pleased I didn't do this - I'd have boiled dry. Car still with Garage, didn't even ask to fix the fans, I suspect a bad earth somewhere.
