Yes, I expect they are. The agreement as at last year was that Steve had joined the ACO and was going to organise their tickets rather than me do it. I copied Steve on all my correspondence when reserving my tickets for this reason. I'm going to see if they have got themselves organised, if they haven't then I guess I'll be baling them out which will use up some of those tickets I currently have available.

Nigel, when does the campsite officially open, we are looking at booking chunnel monday 12th, return 2300 on 18th. £120 return at the mo'.

Are our tickets from ACO confirmed ? Need any money yet ?

Just got your text and will give you a call. I will check when the campsites open, I think you'll be ok on Monday but there may be a small surcharge. If you arrive Monday you'll be first on site so can grab the pitch, suggest same place as last year. Tickets are ordered and paid for on my credit card, when they take the money I'll let you know.

return 2230 Sun. Just hope we make it back with the race finishing 1 hr late.

If site open Mon we'll go direct and rope off the area under the trees. If tue we'll stop of somewhere enroute.

Scott,

Tried to call but no answer so texted you. Just to confirm the camp sites are open on both the Monday and the Tuesday, however, if you arrive early ie before Wednesday you pay a surcharge of €10 for each extra night, so arriving on the Monday is going to cost you an extra €20. The surcharge is payable at the camp site so you can sort that out directly when you arrive. You'll need the camping tickets I'm getting though so when they arrive with me I'll post them to you guaranteed delivery. If you're at Le Mans Monday or Tuesday you might want to go and have a look at scrutineering in the centre of the city (Place de Jacobins, the big square below the Cathedral), something I've never done.

Thats my flights to London booked + tunnel, just need the ACO papers now.

We are going to buy a couple of 2nd hand bikes/bmx's from local paper so that we can cycle into Arnage village during the day with water canons etc :shock:

I have now been billed on my credit card for the Le Mans tickets so I'll be in contact with those I need money from. The tickets are not usually sent out much before a couple of weeks prior to the race so I'll also need postal addresses to send the tickets to you. Once I have the tickets I will post them to you recorded delivery and will add that into the total cost.

Before anyone asks I have no spare tickets as I have definite takers for all that I ordered.

The 6 Camping Tickets I've ordered are going to:

Me + my brother,
ScottJ and Volvoman,
My mates in the Merc (Nick, Rich etc),
Mark (MGA Coupe),
Marks Son Tom,
A crowd in a minibus from RAF Marham organised by Mark.

just back from London and was going to follow up on this.
Stiff as a very stiff thing, 4.24 was the score.

We will take some tape and stakes on the Mon and try to get the under tree area roped off.

Bring your trainers, we're going to run a lap of the track :lol:

BBQ on Volvoman this yr, you buy extra coal, guess if there is a minibus coming we'll need additional BBQ and cooler, maybe a swimming pool for the "lite" ales.

Good effort, most importantly did you enjoy it?

I like the idea of a lap of the track (not sure whether I should be in the LMP or GT class, mind you it's my B'day today so perhaps the classic would be more appropriate) I'll put my running gear on the packing list!

Grabbing the space would be helpful and as before a half pallet for the shower would be good.

I need to work out who owes me what with exchange rates etc, once I've done that I'll be in touch.

Le Mans tickets have arrived

, and I've started distributing them. Scott, I need your postal address. The crowd that Mark was expecting in a minibus from Marham have failed to get themselves organised so I have one spare camping ticket which I intend to put on e bay unless anyone here decides they want to go to Le Mans this year and lets me know in the next 48 hours. If anyone did want to go you would need to book a ferry and buy race tickets once ta the circuit. The camping ticket, which is for a vehicle regardless of how many occupants, (a coach might be stretching a point though) is for the Karting Nord campsite in the middle of the circuit and will cost you £40 including postage to you.

Hi ! We go also this year to Le mans ! If anybody is intressted You can visit us at parking bleu , thats the ground right behind camping bleu .
We have green tent and infront of the tent You can see my blue M100 and a black Esprit . You are invited to drink a cooled german beer with us .
