If I can make it (I should manage) I'll bring a Wilwood brake kit (15" wheel) for display and I'll probably have assorted chip and interface kit. I really should get my act together and do a poster/leaflet about the chips as well.
It takes 43 muscles to frown and 17 to smile, but it doesn't take any to sit on your arse with a blank look on your face.

Click on my WWW link for information on chips and ElanScan.

ESM,

Thanks, hope you will be able to make it. I have the Dyno graphs produced by John W which clearly demonstrate what your chips do. Also intend to have elanscan running on a laptop using log files as engine running in the hall is not going to be possible I suspect.

ESM,
Before you ask, the graphs I sent Nige are the updated graphs with the verified data. They do not include my initial run on the dyno which gave questionable curves.

Chris T,

Yes please to stickers.

All,

I've just spoken with Sam at Club Lotus who is organising Stoneleigh. Basic requirements for the stand are sorted (space power etc) there is no charge for the stand as we are not trading (are we). Sam confirms that we can have space for up to 50 M100s in the hall along the back wall any others who arrive later will be able to park in other Lotus specific car parking. I will get to the hall early on the Sunday morning to set the stand up and will collect tickets for all M100 attendees, I will need a plan to either meet you on arrival at Stoneleigh to hand your tickets to you, or I may yet set up the basics on Saturday and so be able to hand the tickets over to another to sort for the Sunday. Sam is going to send me all the necessary blurb for the stand so I will post more details once I have them.

Nige,
Did you check if it was ok for people to leave early from the hall (given the pushing car/no fuel situation)

Postby Oliver » Sun 23.10.2005, 10:21

Hello all, Will anyone have any ElanScan cables for sale ? - The old N/A made it to the Belgian GP and back after i replaced the pick-up coil but it has started buggering about again: Occasional misfire and loss of power etc! I sure hope i make it to the Holiday Inn. See you there.

Oliver,

The stand is not a trading stall as that way we don't have to pay a pitch fee. However, if members are doing their own private trading that's fine. Avonvilla has a serial elanscan lead for sale here http://lotuselancentral.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5568 and ESM intends to make another batch of USB leads, see here http://lotuselancentral.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5524

Right I've just spoken to club Lotus and this is what they say :

If you park in the hall then you CANNOT leave until 4PM, so if you want to leave early the you need to park with the other cars (which I guess would still be in the undercover cattlesheds).

They also denied all knowledge of M100 owners getting in for free and said everyone needs a payed for ticket ?

Ah that's the problem Gary, you've been talking to 2 Women, don't expect to get the same story twice!

Repeated from the general thread for clarity.

As there seems to be a little confusion I thought I'd add to it!

Firstly Stoneleigh is not a 'Lotus Show; and is not portrayed as such by Club Lotus. It is clearly marketed as an 'Independent Lotus Parts Fair' with the sub line of 'A massive Lotus Autojumble, Accessory. Regalia and Memorabilia sale' sounds pretty self explanatory to me and yes, images of piles of rusty bits and anoraks do come to mind. However, as many have already said, stuff the actual event, it's an excuse for those of us here to get together and talk aboout anything we like (although our cars will probably feature somewhere) in person as opposed to typing. The stand is a focal point for people to meet at and thanks to the excellent support from a good number of people here it should show us and the M100 in a good light.

I have the bumf from Club Lotus in front of me and the basics are as follows.

Build up Saturday 12 Nov 3.30PM - 6.00PM (My problem)

Build up Sunday 13 Nov 8.00AM - 10.00AM, latest acceptance arrival time is 9.00PM, I will check with Sam at Club Lotus how the timings and mechanics of getting the cars in will work, I envisage a grand arrival and park in the hall around the stand between 0930 and 1000.

Once in the hall cars are in there until the fair finishes at 4.00PM, the 1/4 tank of fuel stipulation applies only to cars for sale, but no leakers will be accepted in the hall. Bottom line, if you want to leave before 4.00PM do not park in the main hall.

The agreement I have with Sam at Club Lotus is that I will collect entry tickets for all those who have posted their attendance here when I set the stand up on Saturday afternoon. You will be all classed as participants and thus the tickets will be complimentary. I will pass the tickets to someone at the Hotel on Saturday evening and the grand arrival at Stoneleigh will have to be arranged by someone else as I'll be at Stoneleigh early on Sunday Morning (I also won't be in an Elan as the stand stuff won't fit).

As you can see there are a couple of gaps to fill but nothing too horrendous at this point. I'll post more info once I've spoken to Sam again.

Nigel

I've replied to you in the general thread. I'll do the ticket allocation for you.

Just spoken with Sam at CL. I have confirmed that the tickets for all M100s in the mass arrival are complementary (free!). I will collect enough tickets for all who have stated their intent to attend (I'll add a few spares in to catch the forgetful or undecided) whilst setting the stand up on the Saturday. I will hand all of the tickets to Sy at the hotel on Saturday night, Sy will then distribute tickets at the RV to all on the run in.

Arrival time at Stoneleigh at the end of the run in is at 0945. The cars will be parked along the back wall of the building either side of the stand and will be in position by 1000 when the doors open to the public. Once in the hall you are there until the fair ends at 1600, if you want to leave earlier than 1600 don't park in the hall, this is non-negotiable for public safety and liability reasons.

I will now concentrate on sorting the rest of the stand out and will produce a roster for manning the stand from those who have offered to help out. This is just to ensure we have adequate cover for the whole 6 hours of the show as everything on display is someones personal property and we need to look after it.

Cheers!

Not shure if this is the correct place to ask but will any one at Stoneleigh have an AB Motorsport new gearlinkage kit for sale?
