Dave,

Don't know what time the gates open, but a few of us are meeting up en route and should be there for about 12ish (can't get there any earlier due to other commitments)
Dave

Just the one now, but this one's mine! - and it will be finished eventually..... - but also temporary custodian of a project until it is finished enough for Angie to drive it

...oh, and a 2006 Freelander destined for the jungles of The Gambia - 4500 miles across roads, desert and tracks - what could possibly go wrong?

You are guaranteed 2 x 15 minute sessions (2 x 6 laps) as a minimum, (unless you book a double session). However once everyone has had their paid sessions an open pit lanes is run at no additional cost, I got 5 sessions in last year and 4 the year before, which in all honesty was enough for me and the car with a 60 plus mile drive home afterwards.

As stated by others, registration from 0800 first car on track around 0900,

I hope to be there by about 0830. Weather is looking a bit iffy with light showers the forecast.

Sy that really is tip-top I'm really pleased for you after all you've been through. Look forward to seeing you (and everyone else of course)tomorrow. Just put my track wheels and tyres on in the hope that it will stay dry and loaded a few bits and pieces into the car in readiness for an early departure tomorrow morning.

Thanks everyone.

My mates reckon I was totally unbearable in the pub last night. Cheshire cat grin syndrome!

Dave, make that two burgers, I've got one of my spanner monkeys coming with me for the day. ;-)

Cheers

Fantastic day at the circuit today.
Great to see some of the gang.
The weather held out (at least it did until 3pm when we left).
Nigel spanked just about every Lotus on track - great to see an Elan being driven like it should/can be.
Stripey ran like a dream - there and back (and on the parade lap).

And the LEF Esprit hand over to Bigsi was just a phenomenal success, and the £10,000 make over had to be seen to be believed.
Just downloading my pictures and then I'll have a look at the headcam video.

Imagery to follow...

yep a really touching moment Geoff those guys did a splendid job on the car.

hope everyone got back ok. Saw DaveTea on the M4 - was the archers on Dave :-D u was going real slow or was i going real fast  let you know about the 9th

nige, money cards phone all my gadgets were on the kitchen table where i left them. Fuel gauge now operating after overfilling so thats a tip worth remembering.

Pity about the S2 Elise hope the driver and passenger will be ok. Don't think the car will make it sadly.

Might drive myself next year - maybe.

Nige - great pax ride albeit so short, but still gave you the chance to show me how an Elan should be driven. Well done mate

Sy - good to see you and Stripey out and about together again :D

Good to see Geoff, Dave and Angie, Paul, Phil,Dave T, ChrisT and others all enjoying a great day out.

Dave T - thanks for the lift and the company.:smt038

Saddest bit - the Elise smash - hope he's gonna be OK cos the car certainly aint.

Nicest bit - what the Esprit boys did for one of their own. 8)

Funniest bit - watching them get the Elise on the flatbed

Nige, downloaded the rear view vid (all 1gig) and its g8. I think its quite informative about line. Rob (SurferPhils m8) said that he could get it edited together - it should make a good bit of footage for the Donington stand.

I managed to get a couple of Bigsi shots on to LEF before it went down (it's up again now).
Too tired to do the reduction uploading and posting of Elan track pics tonight - will do them in the morning while your all in your beds.

Great day all round, thanks everyone.
