Right, as CC is only 3 weeks away, and I am only just starting to get round to thinking about it, maybe it's time to start some new threads.... or is it easier to just keep it here?

I was thinking about :-

What do people want to do (if anything) Saturday evening? - if it's the 'traditional curry', how many 'day trippers' will wish to join 'the campers' - it all depends what time we book for.
What does anyone want to do Friday? (if anything)
What does anyone require to be bought along on the day.......

Okay, I'll start:-

Friday night, happy to have a BBQ & drinks at the campsite, or go to a nearby pub, whatever. (dependent on weather really, but I'll bring the Cadac Safari BBQ)

Saturday - Happy to go for a curry either at Spice Merchant or somewhere in Chippenham (but if no interest, then I'm flexible)

Obviously, anyone who is staying/living in the area but not camping is invited to come along to the site on the Friday evening, or join us wherever we go - same for Saturday.

I will have the usual Tea/Coffee on the day, will bring the Banner (Alan should remember the Gazebo!)..... Bring your own mug and chair!

.... I have Laptop/Android phone, Elanscan & Elandroid in the car ready to go.
.... I have a pair of front callipers and discs for Joao (which I bought last year and brought home again!).


If anyone wants anything else from me, just shout and I'll see if I can help!

Erm...I'm a Saturday arriver, over-nighter at Travelodge + Sunday returner. A CCombe first-timer too...
Was there a mention of breakfast-time meet-ups somehere so's to arrive together for the day?
And/or if I miss it due to late-arrival will someone be able to keep a space for me? (...needy first day at school wiv da big boys feelings...)
Anything I can help with milk? tea bags? coffee? etc or will there be a local shop for those?

You pass a big supermarket as you drive round Chippenham. The paddock at CC is large, no need to reserve places. Arrive when you get there, but most arrive at circuit 9-10am.

Can somebody bring an elanscan cable that you know works to try with my laptop to prove either my drivers are wrong or my cable is faulty?
I feel this is the only way to see if my car is running poorly or whether my expectations are too high.

I have no problem with you showing your wares, and either selling them or taking orders....

Same applies to anyone who wishes to bring along any "jumble sale" items which may suit another owner.... however, this doesn't extend to household bric-a-brac.

I'm really looking forward to this now, it feels like ages since we last made it.

The car is fettled, (See project page). I would like to give it a machine polish but not sure I'll get the time.
The good news is we have the day off so hoping to arrive just after lunch. (Steady drive down with a stop off)

If anyone wants to join us on a shopping trip or give us a list, we will go to a supermarket once we've unpacked and setup camp.

Finally taxing the car for this month as it hasn't been worth it since fitting the turbo and intercooler, (I've been away and the weather has been pants).
I've had the odd "cheeky unofficial run" but it really needs some regular driving, just to install confidence. I'm away with the family the week prior to CC
and will be returning a day early just so we can go, I can't help feeling my wife may have organised that trip trying to torpedo CC

Well i'm interested in this - have never shown my face yet.

All depends on a few things happening and the planets aligning. Can't commit to anything at the minute as just too much could go t*ts up.

If all goes well i might turn up on the friday and camp, stay for the saturday (might camp again). Won't know definately for another week or so.

Thinking of booking a travelodge for Friday night but there's no hot breakfasts there, so is anyone up for a Pit-Stop breakfast on Saturday Morning?

On the B4122 near J17 of the M4 for those who haven't been before, serving the usual "Caff" breakfast - eggs, bacon, toast, toms, beans, etc.

(Actually I'm thinking it might be a good idea to have a list of numbers nearer the time?)
Um...I'm booked into a local T'lodge for Sat night; didn't realise they don't offer a hot b'fast

Although the campsite offer a breakfast option, I don't know what times they do so...... so meeting at the Pit Stop suits me (only 5 mins from the camp site).

From there it is a 15 minute run to the circuit, so lets suggest leaving the Pit Stop at 0830 (which will get us there in time for the 0900 track session start). Obviously, some people will already be on site for noise testing and briefing anyway..... so do those times sound reasonable??

If so, I shall aim to be at the cafe for 0800 (they are pretty quick at knocking up a breakfast) - or maybe a bit earlier as they open at 0600??
