They wouldnt let you on the track with a cracked screen mate. It'll be checked - needs to be done before anyway.

Oh bollocks. I'm in the crap then. :(

Neil,
How big is this crack in your screen?

Would a repair sort it out in the short term?

I'm getting there...

I've got a £500 limit and a £50 excess.
Peter Smith Sports Cars can get me a screen and fit it for £422.73+VAT, which comes in at £496.71 (phew)! :o

They've just faxed the estimate. I have a direct number and fax number of a contact at my insurers, so I've forwarded it straight onto them.
Should be approved by the end of the afternoon.

Fingers crossed...

Still haven't managed to book anything yet but I'm really not keen on a track day as my elan still has serious unresolved issues and the stress of a trackday may be too much for my poor little engine.

(plus I'm a track day virgin)

Screen has turned up.
Car is booked in at Peter Smith's to be done on Monday.
I drop it off 7.30am, borrow a car from there to travel to and from work, and pick it up in the afternoon.
Sorted indeed.
Woohoo! :-D

Hi everyone whos going

As I'm not going to be around much this week and definitely wont be logging on much I will try and contact all of you either tonight and failing that on Wed night. My mobile will be off all Mon and most of Tue. If for some reason I dont get through, you will need to contact me for the booking ref of the ferry. Miss the ferry and you wont be going, tickets are non transferrable and non refundable. Ferry sails at 1200 and we are advised to be there 1hr before sailing- cos our cars are special they have advised we dont cut that any finer.

Dave Eds has advised me that a reception by LEF members will be waiting.

The journey schedule is a bit tight but hope to manage a coffee with Gareth and Neil at Knutsford services.

Sorry - the trauma of my broken windscreen took us off topic for a while there.
Still less than the EM thread though, and now we're back!

Are/is Knutsford Services at Junction 19?

Autoroute tells me 30 miles/45 minutes from J19 to Liverpool Ferry.

Looks like I need to be setting out about 7.30am to get to J19 for 10.00am.

Gareth, please can you PM or text me your address (inc postcode) if you still want to meet up along the way?
