We got 3 cars for the stand (all Daves) and a Gazza in reserve.

Who else is going?

1. Ailwyn
2. Enright
3. Russc

Possibles:-

1. Sy.
2. Geoff

Please add or alter as necessary!

I am talking to Lotus tomorrow ( thanks Bibs :smt023 ) to get details of what we can and cant have/do.

Nige - can you update me on the stand? I'll come to yours to collect if needs be (mugs and stickers as well)

Neil - do you want to arrange laptop and displays as per Donington? Again I'll collect whatever I need to from wherever.

Does anyone else want to volunteer to help arrange, set up, etc.

Let's do LEC proud (and give LEF a run for their money).

Well grasped Dave (and I'm talking bull and horns here, not bull and anything else)!!!

Actually I didn't do the laptop - Nige did, and I think we used a projector borrowed by Tony.
I do have a laptop now which could be used, but would probably need to get Nige to put everything (presentations etc) on discs for me, and I don't know if a projector is available, or if Tony's even going to the event.
Before Donington I had all the stand stuff (posters, cloths etc), but Nige took it back with him after the show. However I can make a call, unless Geoff is already onto it. I think he has all the merchandise too.
Now what I DID do, and can do again, was to bring lots of nice clean oily bits for people to pick up and mutter at. Only thing is I'm headless at the moment - it's all Monty's fault!
I also brought some chairs for the stand, but Donington Exhibition Centre provided a couple of tables.
Could someone find out if tables and power will be available?[/quote]

I've PM'd Nige ( contacted Geoff last night too!)

Speaking to Lotus tomorrow so we can work it out from there.

Got a projector at work I can borrow.

Just need to keep it all rolling now!

Well done King Edwards!

If you think we need to buy anything, the kitty will cover moderate purchases (so long as the last person I sold stickers to coughs up :poke: ) obviously with prior approval from the 'cunning nun'

Geoff

PS I'm sure Ailwyn has a room booked and Pinky was thinking about it.

Still up for both nights (but haven't booked yet) - still waiting for the bloody RAF to confirm the Monday morning meeting.

You sound suprised at having to wait, you of all should know better!

I've replied to Daves PM. The real life activity that funds the Lotus obsession is getting in the way of the Lotus obsession at the moment, hence the lack of my recent presence on LEC. I hope and plan (90% confidence) to be at Hethel and will bring all the stand materiel I have from both Stoneleigh 2005 and Donington this year, I will also bring the mugs and keyrings I have (no stickers left with me). The only caveat is that I will be in my Elan (not an Alfa 156 or a Renault Traffic Van) and therefore there will not be a stand as such because neither the Stoneleigh stand, which is still in my garage, or the one I borrowed for Donington fit in an Elan. It might be easiest for me if my car was on the stand however others have offered first and I have no wish to push my way in or change my name to Dave ;-) , some form of car park transfer would therfore be needed. Unless someone comes up with a cunning plan for a stand I suggest the cars are used as a stand and if this is to be outside some sort of weather protection would be a good idea, perhaps one or 2 garden gazebos?

I will most likely be staying at a mates on the Saturday night so would plan to meet at Hethel on the Sunday.

Remember this?
Enright wrote:I know this is going to make me sound like a right cheapskate (but I only just bought a new tent at the weekend and I want to start getting some use out of it), but do you know if there are any local campsites?

Well I found one here, which seems to be right off the main road into Norwich, mid way between LEF's hotel and Hethel itself.
The addresses for Multimap etc are:

Wensum Valley Hotel Golf & Country Club
Beech Avenue
Taverham
Norwich
Norfolk
NR8 6HP

Lotus Cars Ltd
Hethel
Norwich
Norfolk
NR14 8EZ

Norfolk Showground Caravan Club Site
Long Lane, Bawburgh
Norwich
Norfolk
NR9 3LX

I'll be going down on the Saturday afternoon, setting up camp, and hope to meet up with as many as possible for dinner and a few beverages that evening.
Anyone else up for it?
