My experince of R888's on a wet Castle Combe was very good (until I came off ). Suprising amount of grip when the track is really wet or when it's dry, be careful if it's drying or just getting wet though as that's when it's slippiest.

Not raining here yet. Just went to start the old bus and.. flat battery. I hope it's just the battery not holding a charge. I've swapped in the battery from the project car and I'm bringing jump leads!

It did stop raining for some sessions and the car went well

On one of the sessions I was following an Elise round Quarry and then the chicane where he suddenly lifted off and braked in the middle - I had to lift off too and ...................... the rear came round and I spun no problems

in the end it was a good day and had 4 good sessions

Hankook RS2's are crap in the wet - great in the dry...................

during the day my nearside light cover kept lifting - winking to everyone then on the way home I flashed someone to come out on the motorway and the offside stayed up and now the lights are out of sync - when the nearside is up the offside is down and vice versa. Also the offside wont go down properly

Had a good day - even though the BBC promise of rain blowing away by 1100 was a couple of hours late

First session out was extremely wet, so no great 'enthusiasm' to the driving, but still good fun - and i not only overtook a number of elises, but actually lapped one

Roof came down for the lunch time parade lap (even though it was still cool enough for Iain to wear a wooly hat).....

...first afternoon session was on a dry track, so I gave Tom a ride out with the roof down - good times

I did get some video footage, but the front facing camera looks like it is foggy (crap on the lens - stuck it on the NS door mirror) - rear one was okay (on the roll bars)....

...2 laps in and we had to come off for the marshals to remove a broken Elan Sprint from the track - luckily just a collapsed wheel bearing - no crash and more importantly, no injuries.
Went into the pits, and virtually straight out again for a few good laps - got some heat into the tyres and a reasonable amount of progress was made.

Once it went 'open pitlane' i took Phil out, he said it wouldn't rain - so we got wet!!!!! (and the camera didn't like the wet so i got no video, in fact one camera doesn't want to work anymore, but what can you expect for £8 ). Very slippery again, so the speeds were well down - still good fun though...

..then it dried up again, so off we go (except Spud decided it would be more fun on the grass, instead of the black stuff - and to make it even more exciting, decided to see how close he could get to the concrete before Phil stopped screaming, whilst going backwards - bloody show-off )


All in all, despite the weather, it was a good day - everyone on the track was sensible and there were no nasty incidents - so much better than when the boy racers go there on the 'Classic/Sports Action Days' with their XR3i's and think they're the next Hamilton

Good to meet some new people, and see the old faces - even the Maths Teacher eventually turned up (having been woken from his slumber at lunchtime - daft old duffer )

I got a few "action" shots of you on the track. I would also apologise for my son who decided he needed a pee, so just got out of the car, took his trousers down and pee'd in plain view behind my car. I said I would apologise, but actually I was rather proud.

In the attachements: Pinky in first place (admitedly in the queue to get on), then chasing down a titanium seven, then falling further behind.. then giving up

Got one of the left hand light popping out (under great speed of course).

Nice action shot of custard.

A few with the "proper" red chasing down an elcat. and a three way race after bobbies... who had the racing line? I have no idea...
