Just got home

Best bit of the day - chauffered parade lap! First time Lauren has driven the Elan after passing her test 30 months ago :D

Gave pax rides to Lauren, Steve A and Lesley.

115 mph recorded on pit straight, 130 mph elsewhere (but ain't telling Pinky where!).

Also got to road test the Evora that Bibs has blagged and think Lauren wants me to get myself one of my own

Good to see so many of you again too.

:D We had a really good day today despite the early drizzle.
Thanks to Dave P for the hot sausage and the parade laps pass, it was the first time
I took my Elan out on a wet track which caused me to have a few twitchy moments, but it was all very
predictable and easily corrected (for some  ).
Thanks to Dave Eds for taking me and Mrs A out on track when things dried out  we really enjoyed it :burnout:
I'll have to give it a go in the future.
Really nice to see some of the familiar faces once again, hope to see you all again soon

With Geoffs rear view look and the bushy tree you get an idea of what he looks like from the front.

Also had a great day - particularly PM - and the session where I followed Spud and Pinky for a few laps ..... but no pics so virtually pointless post, except to say good to see everyone again... :D

Club Lotus have been pushing this for 2012.
I can't believe that with less than a fortnight to go, I can't find a mention of it on this forum at all

Who is planning to go?
& could a moderator amend the thread title with this year's date please?

Castle Coombe - 26th May 2012

Postby muley » Tue 15.05.2012, 11:06

D'oh!

Because 'it's always the Saturday of the Bank Holiday Weekend' I assumed it was on the 2nd June..

..so I booked something else for the 26th May and I won't be there...

I hope you won't be overcome by hordes of MX-5 owners this year!!! oh, and it doesn't hose down with rain!!!!

Japfest was last week so hopefully not many MX5's will show up. Worth noting that if we have a high attendance the traffic around Chippenham/Castle Combe becomes gridlocked as it was last week.
