Never needed to book Henwood before, just been a case of turning up and paying at the gate. There has always been plenty of space over the weekend.

Seriously, no need to worry about the camping.

If Henwood doesn't work for some reason, there is Litchlake Farm too which is also directly opposite the main entrance. It is pretty much just a field and it has never been anywhere near full for the last few years. Last year I did book the camping with Silverstone because there was talk that it would be within the circuit but it wasn't and we camped at Woodlands which is a little distance (we had bikes so that didn't worry us) but there was masses of space there too (I'd guess it was only 25% occupied at best).

Wont be long now! Hope the weather is kind WEATHER GODS

Sorry but i need to have the campng booked before i get the show tickets, can`t take that chance and won`t be running around on the day to try and find a campsite

Deciding where we will go is important and for those planning it is better to sort all in advance, agreed.

Whittlebury is more expensive £42 if arrive Friday and £32 on Saturday http://www.whittlebury.com/index.php?pa ... sition=1t2

Litchlake is cheaper £12 per night per person (plus £1 booking) in advance or £15 on day

Personally I'd go for Litchlake, no idea quite how close they are etc (they say they are the closest and opposite track entrance) but also think we should decide soon where we will all go and book or reserve space for us. Would be better for us to camp together and also don't like leaving it to chance!

I have camped at all three of the following and would say that;

Whittlebury doesnt offer much that the others dont and the camping wasnt even on flat ground which meant that we rolled downhill in the tent in the night it is also quite a long walk back to the entrance. Wouldn't be my choice.

Litchlake is a field with some Portaloos in the corner, cheap cheerful and very close to the main entrance. They usually have a 'food court' which amounts to fast food vans arranged around some tables and gazebos - never used them so cant comment on how good it is.

Woodlands is further away (there are free shuttle tractors), though the loos and shower facilities are much better than Litchlake. There was a portacabin there last year that they had stocked as a sop for daily essentials IIRC.
