Sorry for my unexpected absence. (The joys of working in the Aviation industry :(

Looking at the location of everyone that is interested Cubley Hall would seem the most sensible location it seems to be a similar distance for everyone to travel and

Looks like a nice run for the cars that do not get out of the garage much. I think it would be a good choice. Would this be good for everyone?

Preference my side would be a Sunday lunch time meet. Now't like a good Pub lunch on a Sunday  But either day is fine for me.

As I have no idea of the area or meet up protocol.... and it seems like others have been to Cubley before? I presume it best for all to meet up at the venue for lunch and a chin wag. I would also be up for someone that knows the area well to organize an interesting sight seeing tour of the countryside to a local village and Possibly to a nicely located coffee shop before heading off in separate directions??

As I won't be bringing my Elan hopefully I could follow behind in either a hire car or an MX5 (the later is probably the worst choice).

If anyone knows the owner maybe it would be best if they gave him a call to reserve a table. If not I will be happy to give him a call. Any ideas on numbers? Prefer Sunday but happy to change it to Saturday if it would be better for everyone else.

Cubley hall lunch. Sunday.

I was planning of 11 am but I am happy to make it there earlier if it helps. It's about a 2 hour drive from Howden and I have never been to this area before and would like to have a good look around the area. So I will be making it into a full day trip :)

"Theelanman" the venue has been changed from the Howden area to Cubley Hall, Cubley near Penistone. :drunk:

From The Snake Pass A57 - take Mortimer Road ("Strines") cross Manchester Rd - up the hill Cubley Hall on the left aprox 1 mile from the Manchester Rd. :rally:

Hopefully the new venue should be easier for you to get to than Howden. :poke:

yeah I did see the venue however realistically it'll be 2pm before I get there....and I'll be in the +2 so will need to leave about 2:30 to avoid the dark......its never good driving with 2 candle power.....you cant see where you're going and people cant see you coming.... ...the joys of Lucas electrickery......I am in the process of changing the lights but haven't got the new loom finished.......I'll just have to see on the day I suppose.......... :bonk:

Sunday 10th Nov 11am at Cubley Hall Penistone.

As Midlands meets are rarer than RHS , I will have a nice drive out from the Midlands to see you all. :gathering:
Weather permitting in the NMY Elan.
