Not sure the SELOC tickets get you access beyond the main car park? But the email that was sent out from The Lotus Forums today says there is Lotus only parking inside the circuit which is good news.

Well done Ian for organising the LEC stand, sounds a nightmare from where I'm sitting.

Sorry Trevor, I've missed your PM, but will post your pass to you in that case. Most TLF/SELOC tickets have come with a VIP parking pass (black windscreen hanger), which gets you into the circuit where the stands are. Do I have your address?

If meeting up in advance works for everyone else, I'm up for it, but I'm feeling I ought to try to be there bright and early and available to at least meet people arriving... :)

Speaking to Bibs earlier he suggested that while not the 'correct' thing to do, no one was going to throw anyone out for parking on the stand instead of in the VIP Lotus parking, which allows us to stretch the allocation (16 stand passes) to his recommended 20-car maximum stand occupancy.

Fingers crossed. Backup plan is he'll find additional stand passes on the day if it doesn't work - can't say fairer than that!

And now we're up to our maximum of 20 for Sunday.

Only 12 on Saturday, so if anyone wants to come for just that day, I have free tickets and stand passes waiting - but not for long as otherwise I'm going to post them out to the Sunday crew instead (and avoid me standing at the gate to meet everyone!).

Roll up, roll up!

Thanks all. :)

My SELOC ticket is just a ticket - no access pass, so I'll need one of those, please.

Hi Nick,

We still have space on the Saturday if that helps? It looks like I can help with a ticket (to get you in) as well. The stand pass would be for Saturday only and I'd need it back before you leave on Saturday afternoon to pass onto one of the Sunday only customers.

For those who have tickets already (via SELOC/TLF/elsewhere):

Can you tell me please if you already have a windscreen hanger with the black square on it and (possibly) 'Lotus Display Parking'? The more that do, the better; ideally I'm hoping that at least 3 more (as well as mitreklov, who I know has a pass) already have passes, to save me begging Bibs on Saturday (which he indicated would work, but didn't want to pre-allocate).

For those who have not bought tickets yet:

That's what I have these free ones for! ;) I will send out whatever you don't already have (but still need) by post, or arrange to meet you at the gate if there is a need to share passes / tickets among members across the two days.

I aim to finalise this and get everything stuffed into envelopes and posted out this weekend, so quick replies are most welcome - I don't want to still be holding these tickets past Monday if I can avoid it...

Hope this makes sense, it would be so much easier with (a) unlimited passes or (b) a one day event. Thanks for your continuing humour and patience!

Ian.

Hi Ian, I have just bought an additional Sunday ticket from TLF for my passenger and have been sent a black VIP parking pass also, so all I really need is a single entry ticket for Sunday, not a parking pass now. Thanks, Mike

Thanks Trevor, Mike and Ken.

Just waiting to hear from lotustonybassplayer and ShaunM before sending out the tickets.

I have moved this to a different sheet that I built to mailmerge autojumble bookings for another organisation and simplified it to show what everyone has ordered, rather than which days they are attending.

I think that means I will have a small number of tickets left over, so may bring a passenger myself and depending on whether Tony needs one or two tickets, will have a couple left.

In the interests of transparency and peer review, the sheet is here:

Hi Nick,

I don't believe there is a specific M100 parade lap this year and I didn't get an answer to that question when I asked - we'll see on the day I guess. Last year the M100 was singled out for some special attention with 25 years marked since it was unveiled and although my car was 25 years old this May, I don't think we can get away with that every year! If you remember last year, a number of other historic (and other?) Loti followed us out onto the track for the parade lap, so we may yet get a gentle run round.

As for space on Sunday, sorry, I've been directed to limit our attendance to 20 cars on the stand, which we have now. If you got a ticket through TLF you would be able to park in the general Lotus display parking area (not far away, but sadly not in the LEC bit). I know it's not a popular limitation and not one I'm enjoying having to stick to, but the space was allocated before we had numbers to present and I can't realistically moan about it. Lessons to learn before next year and all that.

We do have space on Saturday though, so if that appeals to you I can help. I've kept the top post in the thread updated with (I think) all the event information I have and links out to the Lotus Festival website, where the rest of the information is. Hopefully you can access that, I don't think there is any need to go through the whole thread.

Let me know if you'd like to attend with us on Saturday, I do still have some tickets and a pass or two. :)

All tickets and passes were posted out at 0530 this morning by First Class post, so I'd hope the majority will be with you tomorrow. My mobile number is on a piece of paper in each envelope, so if you need to get in touch, you can, either before or on the day. I'd be grateful if nobody posts it online for obvious reasons.

Let me know please if there are any problems and I'll try to help. :)

Now to :asleep: until Friday, when I really need to get my car out and clean it!
