Must agree, Fantastic effort on the stall front. Marvelous turn out Elan-wise (given the time of year and the fact that Stoneleigh always plays second fiddle to Donington). Superb camaraderie - both at the fair and the evening before!

Given that we only have one (albeit very special) thing in common, it never ceases to amaze me how well we all hit it off at these gatherings.

…and it’s official (if you believe Club Lotus) Stripey’s on a different planet! What was all that about?

The display in the hall was great, and I hope everyone got a copy of the DVD of Donington. Well done to JIMP357

Looking forward to the next version with yesterday's convoy on it. Perhaps some of the other various Elan clips could do on it too ? (although obviously not the Topgear one due to copyright).

Having finally made it back last night, (when Road to Hell was played It felt appropriate courtesy of the roadworks on the A34 :smt020 ) and got the van unloaded a big thanks to all who helped with the stand on Saturday and Sunday. Particular thanks to JimP for aquiring the rather fine stand in the first place and secondly for making the novelty of moving pictures and sound a reality, thanks to Debbie and Simon who have the enviable knack of being in the right place at the right time with real practical help and to Debbie who kindly covered the stand on Sunday and allowed me to listen to Pat Thomas' talk on our cars. To all who brought something for display or contributed in some other way such as assisting with the putting up and taking down of the stand a most sincere thanks to all.

(end of the Paltrows :smt089 !)

Special thanks to Nige, Jim, Deb, Sy, etc etc etc for an excellent show.

The stand did what it said on the tin and stood right out, which is more than can be said about the establishment i.e I walked straight across Paul Matty's stand before I even realised it was a stand :? .

It was also good to catch up with a few new (& several familiar) faces, mind you, I'm not too sure what happened to Clemo's eyes? Either he'd been on the 'pop' the night before or someone had replaced his orginal eys with a couple of pickled eggs :?

Anyways, the "Money Pit" ran like a dream on the way home, so he's looking forward to Donny next year 8).

Jolly good show, more of the same please.

Thanks to everyone for their help and advice with the N/A. What an enjoyable weekend - although six packets of crisps and a gallon of stella artois for dinner in the hotel Sat eve probably wasn`t the best idea. Can`t wait for Donington next year - & count me in for the factory visit next year.

You're being too harsh on yourself Tim, despite the amount of Vodka you drank, your breath wasn't that bad!

Good to see everybody again - nice turn out of elans in the hall and several more in the sheds and around the grounds.

Well done Nige and all others involved in the stand - it was great effort from all involved.

Look forward to seeing you in the not to distant future - if not Donny 06.
