I dearly hope youre wrong Dico but its not looking like it at the moment

weather for friday snow
weather for saturday sleet

currently no chance of getting the car out at all.......our snow started to melt when it started to rain....only it then decided to stop raining and freeze instead......it is impossible to drive on and its frozen the garage shut......basically looks like a 3" thick ice rink that someone has stuck on our town at the moment......even made it on to the news!!!!

I'll need to assess the situation on friday....see if the planned route is possible........
I'll be coming from buxton (hopefully) however if its really crap weather I'll need to ring you guys and I'd suggest a trip down the A50 from knutsford instead......keep to the 'lowlands'....the cheshire plain....
if its snowing they'll shut the cat and fiddle and wont let me out unless I go down the a6 which is in completely the opposite direction....
will keep you all posted

If the trip over the top is not practical because of the weather would it not be better to meet in Knutsford rather than at the Egerton Arms?

by that, do you mean that the Cat & Fiddle road is currently impassable and that you have made the decision to go by the A50?

If that is the case we need to change the rendezvous to Knutsford Services on the M6 rather than the Egerton Arms as it will then be well out of our way.

Please confirm.

the road is open at the moment but we might get snow tonight.....then again maybe not.....we've our own little micro climate up here....
I'll ring everyone in the morning about 11am if there are any changes to the original plan.. after Ive been up there to investigate if thats ok with everyone
ie I let you know if you cant go that way!!!!
does that seem resonable????

well they should be there...met them at knutsford and went with them over the cat and fiddle (mildy snowy..for there anyway) to ashbourne..
left them at about 5:30 so they should have arrived about 6ish!!!

The whisky swilling bon viveur bit sounds about right but I never touched the Sinclaire babe this year. Honest. The other blonde babe that was there last year has just had twins but that was not due to me either. Honest.

Probably the Young Pretender - that other "whisky-swilling womanising bon viveur" with the cheeesey grin !! Obviously test driving his stifffy !!
