well it is slowly dawning on me the sheer scale of everything that has gone on without me knowing for the past few weeks.

i spoke with geoff just before he left, and only learned about the elan clubs involvement later on.

Yesterdays events have shaken me to the core and restored my faith in humanity and people. The fact that people from all over the world helped in anyway they could has astounded me and im still not in the know about everything!!

As the lew forum is still down i cannot read up on the nice little section that was hidden away from me.

since new years eve both kelly and I have struggled to come to terms with everything and regain some control over everything. My love affair with my lotus ahs kept me going in the darkest moments and not having it here has been quite.. well, depressing!

over the next week or so i will wade through thousands of photgraphs, messages and forum posts to just catch up on this!!!!

One of the things that sticks in my head is the fact i met brian angus for the first time there and we were talking about the new prototype suspensions for the g- cars. I then offered to guiniea pig a set fr a while and do a write up on them and let them know how they go. 20 mins later i find out i have the first ever set on my car, and thats just the start.

what bibs and everyone involved did for me was above and beyond, i still do not have the words to express my gratitude and sheer emotion of whats happened.

however over the next week i will update you all.

i would just like to wish everyone who is a part of whats happened a very very big thank you.

and i look forward to meeting you all again at a future event.

in the meantime i can post a before and after picture of the engine bay, sorry the after pics arent the best but the heavens opened up just as i took them.

but it has reduced my "I never do that" quotes. BTW wasn't the M4 quite had a really quick trip back

Bigsi,

Thanks for your post. I think I speak for all on LEC who followed the events surrounding your car when I say that it really touched us. Internet groups are a wisp in the ether and as Doug (who founded this site) has said, in a virtual club, expect virtually nothing. However peoples willingness to help out and see people right is a re-affirmation of the faith in human nature. The guys on LEF who put in for you get a serious tick VG as far as I'm concerned and although I cannot claim to know any of them it makes me feel good to know that such people exist. I was honoured to see what happened yesterday and it is something I won't forget in a hurry.

Deep Purple - Made in Japan, one of the best albums I have. Nearly got tickets for the gig in March this year but couldn't make it!!! :wink:

Best gig I've been to ...... ever. Newcastle City Hall on 24th September 1972, one month after MiJ. Dancing on the back of the seats and ending up 10 rows closer to the stage. Good job health and safety hadn't been invented - Greg would have had a fit. :twisted:

Hey all.

Great to meet some of you for the second time and ....god knows how many times I've met Sy and Stripey!

Just to say thanks to all of you from us at LEF for your kind words, regarding the Bigsi thing. We were all so emotional at the end there, when the big man himself broke down, there wasn't a dry eye in the place. A few piccies for you and may the bonds that our 2 sites seem to be building, get stronger!.
