Er, we turned left and got out of Stortford quite easily. Whatever probelm was there apparently occurred after we went.

I don't know what Josler thought of the A507 though. I expect he liked it.

Cambridge was the only minor bad point. I think I get more than my fair share of problems when I use the A14 :(

The auto jumble was a little disappointing too.

Selective revelation, and waiting on some other sources before selecting.

Also interesting to note we had 3 couples come to look at our cars after following our threads and activities on LEC- maybe we dont talk just crap after all. I think we'll have some more company soon.

If they are looking at LEC, then I would guess that they have an interest in Elans. There are plenty about and don't cost the earth, so why not future owners?

We were robbed as well. How could the organisers possibly like the US muscle cars display more than ours. A distinct lack of taste. I agree with your comment yesterday, Dave. There was not one car there which I would want instead of my Elan.

The yank car thing is a local business "club".

It's a fundraising event for the school and the prizes are probably more to do with donations throughout the year than the display on the day.

The most impressive display of a single model was undoubtedly IMHO the Lotus Seven....

SEVEN LOTUS ELAN M100s.

Well D and I had a really great day and have got some good memories. A real chillout day for a change.

Got some photos HERE if you're interested. Think i inadvertantly got shots of 2 of the winners including the best in show, the Railton and the Allard. Anyway enjoy!

edit - forgot to say. on the way back on the M11, car on the inside lane with "JUST MARRIED" plastered all over the back. Thought I'd give them the thumbs up as we went past to wish them the best of. When we got past D said it was a couple of blokes
Could the 'Hokey-Cokey' actually be what it's all about?
