Way back in 2005 we had a fantastic weekend in the lakes. Lec members came from all over. It was one of the wettest/coldest weekends of the year but even so everyone thoroughly enjoyed it.
Heres a link to some pics from the 2005 trip-
http://lotuselancentral.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=11776
I propose we go to the same venue -
http://www.sykeside.co.uk/inn.htm
The majority pitched tents but some opted for the chalets which are on site.
Its a really nice site with fantastic views, and has a licensed bar
If I remember correctly we went quite early in the year, maybe we should aim for a bit later? I know from past attempts that the date can lead to the event not taking place at all, so maybe we should choose a date quite early on and hope most folk can attend?
I'm away the end of July Couples/families welcome

I'm up for this... I've never actually been to the lakes before. I did a job in Lindal in furness but I don't think that counts..
Bizzare and off topic story related to Lindal job.... Me and mate were sat on a rock eating lunch in the sun when a Giraffe leant over the fence and nicked our bag of fruit... Bit of a surreal moment that.

So June sounds favourite.
Can anyone who has shown an interest not make June?
Thinking we may be best booking early as possible to ensure comfy chalets

Sorry Jay, you misunderstood me - I was simply implying that June doesn't clash with any other planned (but not necessarily announced, yet) dates this Summer.
I don't do camping.
