West Mids - Culinary Caribbean Chrimbo - Cancelled

Postby Sy V » Fri 05.09.2008, 10:48

...and you thought we were planning something really OTT.

Now I've got your attention, I have contacts at this establishment that has recently won:

The Best of Bromsgrove Business Award

CAMRA Seasonal Award (Spring 2008)

See here
...and here

How about a Festive feast with a difference.

You tell me what night, in the run-up to Christmas, that best suits and I'll make the booking.

How about a Saturday evening for a change (6th, 13th, 20th)? Let me know...

Yes, Phil.
I have also had it confirmed that there will be a traditional Festive Menu too, if Caribbean food isn't your bag.

6th or 13th would be fine for me, but 20th is a bit close to actual Christmas.

Noted. We'll ignore the later option then and go for a choice of two - 6th or 13th?
Who else?

At this early stage, I would tentatively give support to an outing on 6th Dec.

I've pencilled the 6th into my calendar... shall I go ahead and book?
We may be able to muster a few more if we present them with a confirmed date.

Apathy has taken over... not worth bothering with.

Sy,

Don't get too despondent, mate.

You are more than welcome to come and have a meal with the few of us who've bothered to confirm that we're meeting on Sunday 30th Nov.

It is going to be your side of 'Toilet Town' (Bristol), so may be worth a thought :smt102

Hi Sy

Sorry I missed out on this thread, it seems that the notification system for watched threads has stopped working for me, so I didn't know anything had happened on the thread after my last post! I would have joined you had I known about the revised date.

I'll have to try and check topics more often now that I realise that I don't any longer get notifications. Geoff says I am not alone in experiencing this problem.

Perhaps we can organise a Sunday run to the Midland breakfast Club at Cosford in the spring, we can book club spaces with the organisers.

Hi Sy

Do you want to start a new thread?

Dates are here

www.midlandsbreakfastclub.co.uk/page5.htm

I suggest March 22nd if OK with you, that way hopefully we are getting into the better weather...

Does that mean you will be indisposed & would prefer another date?

I can't do the April one, I will be away rallying, and February weather is not usually very good, so that would make it 26th June which is rather a long way off...

Well, I suppose it would cap off a good weekend... but, the thought of the pain!
I can feel a spot of martyrdom coming on here. ;-)
