NEC Classic Car Show

Just back from the NEC Classic Car show, and spotted a complete absence of M100s.

Three Lotus stands - Club Lotus, Lotus Drivers, Lotus Forum - Elises, Esprits, Excels, Elan +2s.

Very disappointing.

Yes we were there on the Lotus Drivers Club stand (best Lotus stand ) but not with my Elan this year. I did see one though in the exhibitors car park ... silver with white wheels, very nice of course! If you can get yourself into this event it is a must ...

Agree about the lack of m100,s at the nec, Also very disappointed with the so called club lotus stand. It was not actually club lotus but the stafford area branch.
Small stand, no goodies, poor car display. Prehaps club lotus could not be bothered to attend one of the most important classic car shows of the year.

NEC was disspointing... went to club lotus stand and asked the old geezer beind the white guigario espirt

ME: ' so can you run these as every day cars?'
OG: ' not really, you want an M100 for that'
ME: 'cough splutter'

Club Lotus do not attend the NEC show (they have no choice) ... the stafforshire branch is being run independently I believe. I also don't agree with joining a club which is set up to make someone money out of my interest and then not be welcoming or attend shows and make the effort. Much rather give my money to a hard working club like LDC and LEC!

perhaps someone can tell me why club lotus do not attend shows like the NEC. I know a few years ago they did attend the NEC, I think the last time they attended was just before Graham Arnold died but not since. LDC always put on a good show so if they can do it why not CL.

With out saying too much ... I'm pretty sure they are not allowed to take part at the NEC Classic Motorshow anymore because they failed to show one year
