Hi Arch,

I'd be interested - last year was good fun. The problem is that I'm not sure my Elan will be ready in time - got a few wee jobs, mainly improvements, to get through first.

You going in the Elan or the Esprit?

Archie,
I'm not going this year. Far too busy at work I'm afraid.
Maybe give Ron a call - he PM'd me a few weeks ago asking if I was going.

Archie,

We are doing what we did last year, making the most of the week on the way down England, arriving on the Friday.
Great that you are going to make it there from your home another 150 odd miles further north than us

5 posts in 5 years. Must be some kind of LEC record ? ;-)

Archie - I'll be heading down very early on Friday morning - put the tent up, help with the stand, see my folks, have a few pints at the campsite pub etc..., etc....

Ron - I've seen your driving and I'm sure even you could make it to Malvern in less than a week
I'll see u there. Tell gloria she can ride shotgun with me in the convoy on Saturday and she'll get to the showground before lunch

Andy - Looks like i'm on my own until Edinburgh. :(

Rambo - What's early Friday? I'm not sure about camping - by the time i buy a tent i'd be cheaper at a b&b. Although sleeping outside a pub sounds great - not done that for 20 years.

ab2cv wrote:(...once I get my new alternator fitted.........)

Mr Ribena - You've only got 3 weeks to fit the alternator! You should stop reading these post too and get your hands dirty too. Did u fit the rear calipers? I've fitted the new hubs but i just got the calipers in January. I did get stainless steel braided hoses for the back when i replaced the front but they've been sitting in the boot for 3 years and gone rusty - gonna need new ones - hopefully get them at the show.

I'll be driving to Edinburgh on Thursday night so I can leave early Friday. Does anyone want to meet at Abington? What time suits everyone?

I'll do my best but there are a quite a few jobs to be done, after which you might not be the only one looking to remortgage!

Not sure if i'm up for camping, I'll look at the accomodation thread and make a few phone calls.
I'd better sign up for the whole Elan weekend experience too.

I spoke to Stevo today. Missy is still under tarpaulin and he's not comming this year.
He does have a reasonable excuse - Baby number 2 is on the way!

Definitely a no-show from me as far the convoy is concerned. I might head to Malvern sans Elan, though.
