Boxing Day

Postby Buckaroo » Sun 12.12.2010, 02:03

Is anyone planning on going to Wickham on Boxing Day? It's in Hampshire, north of Fareham on the A334/A32.

The Town Square fills with classic cars and bikes (be early - eg before nine - if you want to be in the Square itself), and it has become a real magnet for the crowds. It's a nice atmosphere, and the Police just leave it well alone, yet it all seems to work really well.

Various coffee shops and bakeries are open for bacon sarnies and the like.

If you want something to do, or somewhere to escape to, it's a nice option.

I'm certainly interested, will you be going? Xmas period is still in flux for me at the moment so it is likely to be a last minute decision which will ultimately be influenced by the weather.

Same for me, Chris. I've been the last couple of years and really enjoyed it.

Fareham! My auntie needs her bush seeing to and I've said I'd box it up for her.
Do you think it'd be OK to leave my tools in the car on a bank holiday in England?
