My passenger cannot make it now, so I have a spare entrance ticket for Sunday if of use to anyone.

Hi Mike,

Alan E has a couple of spare tickets that there was some confusion as to which were used. If you could let me have your unused one on arrival I'll return it to the organisers as it reduces the show cost a little.

Look forward to seeing you tomorrow.

Cheers,

Ian.

Apparently, the windscreen frame will support the car while inverted, so I reckon if we borrow the cranes they use for rescuing stranded race cars from the gravel traps, we could go for double decker style.

Actually, (today at least) Bibs has been very generous and given us enough space for (I'd say) 21-24 cars in 3 rows of 7/8. I hadn't appreciated that Hans was joining us (nice to meet him) until after I had distributed the LEC tickets so we have 21 currently and that will be 22 with Tuga (Joao) assuming everyone arrives.

I reckon we'll be OK. :)

it looks like I'm the first home and online after this years meeting, so I'll start. I'd just like to say thank you to everyone for coming along and your company this weekend - I've had a great time and once again underlined what I love about my Elan and LEC.

My Sunday photos are uploading as I type and I'll post a link shortly. If anyone wants the full size files for any particular photo, let me know and I'll email it across.

[Raspberry Ripple] We need a batch photo uploader MOD for the LEC forum [/Raspberry Ripple]

Given the Indy circuit is much shorter, they gave us two laps. No exceeding 50mph or bunching up they told us. Cue lots of hill starts and periods spent stationary as the best part of 100 Lotus cars got onto the track at the same time. I still enjoyed it though, as there were a couple of opportunities to open the old girl up and look for that 'best line' through the corners, albeit at very safe speeds for a Lotus.

So - thanks again everyone, for pitching in and making this easy and pleasurable. :D

Looks like a good weekend. Weather was ok too.
These are the first pics I've seen of Dave P's Elan since going green (apart from his avatar). I think It looks great.

Ian you are a star, your car parking attendant skills are second to none

Had a fab day! After a dodgy start (why did the little madam have to pick today of all days to have a flat battery for only the second time ever?!) but after a minor panic and much cursing we got on our way!

Great to meet some of you! Sorry I didn't stay around much, I'm not really a chatty person and my bro wanted to watch some of the track events. It really was a great day and Pete enjoyed it too. :) (could have been a bit sunnier, but hey, it's a British summer, what do we expect?)

Highlights, of course meeting LECers and seeing your cars, and also seeing another Palacio M100 as mine was the only one I'd ever seen!

Spent some of the journey home in convoy with white SE B16 LAN, until we left the M25 a few junctions early, 1, to avoid the traffic and 2, it was raining not insignificantly and the hood was still down!! I was later amused when approaching a roundabout in the left lane, Pete spots a Harvester on the right, so I checked my mirrors and nipped across between two exiges travelling together! (Well I was amused anyway!)

Nice photos Ian, I'll upload a few of mine tomorrow.

Great weekend. Well done Ian T' - I think the T' stands for Ticketmaster  .

Lovely to meet all the LEC'ers and chat about Elans. One topic was problem with rubber windscreen surround bits and lack of availability and I said to somebody, can't remember who now, that you can cast your own rubber parts - here's the key links... I'll leave it to moderators to decide where this message would best be 'parked' ...

Not cheap and haven't used it myself yet but I'd buy the book first to help me decide which kit I needed.. but it's your choice..
