this was the first time in the past 10 years that i have received a letter through the mail with my name correctly spelled (or spelt?)

Another unloading pass (they must have gotten themselves extra toilets this year) in the letter.

Thanks Geoff,

on a side note.

Last year i was the black sheep of the group when i drove off for a mixed grill in a lovely random pub local to the area. it only lacked some banter
this year, according to google, Saturday's weather is expected to be.... British (at best)....
anyone interested in being a black sheep on Saturday ?

Im planning to depart from walsall sometime very early sat morning (maybe 6-7am ) anyone else going south on the m6 -> m40 at around the same time ?

Chris might be on the way down from Redditch about that time… but in a Scirocco.

Despite my best efforts the Elan is in many pieces, so not going to make it - I'll see you all in the morning (under VW power). If anyone needs any shopping PM me and I'll get it on the way.

Excellent day yet again. The new LEC gazebo and kettle boiler worked well.
Hope the South Easterners got back despite the M20 footbridge... I got back in time to listen to the match Alan. :D
Peaceful night for Pinky and Phil the Flasher.

Hope you guys haven't had the thunderstorms and heavy showers we have today!
Fortunately Elan was tucked up under her appropriately named Stormforce cover. Looking forward to tomorrow (and hopefully nice weather!)

Great day today much enjoyed. Good to see everyone - Pinky, Phil, Jaoa, and Geoff to name but a few - thank you and everyone else there for your company - and the hosting by Bibs and LEC. Plastic eye candy everywhere and some good racing. I even tried the LotusBits rally stage this time and got driven around by Mike Taylor. Quite a different experience passengering in a car that loose - I'm sure I wouldn't have the bottle for it if I was behind the wheel, but great fun being driven by someone with the appropriate skill!

Got home in 3 hours so probably wasn't that different on refection

Despite a quick turnaround at Dulwich, I'm just home.... for the second time. The good news is that I think I have found the source of my intermittent drip...

The bad news is that the hose let go on the M4. I thought the Lambo that pulled along side was admiring the car but moments later my fan temperature warning LED lit up so maybe he was pissed off with being sprayed with coolant. Fortunately we were only a couple from the Tormarton turn off and Chris was following a few miles behind. Got the car off the motorway and we've gone back and made a temporary fix with some self amalgamating and gaffer tape which got us home. Just hoping the head isn't cooked.

Incontinence comes free with your OAP bus pass  About time you invested some of your hard earned pesetas in some nice shiny Samco hoses :poke:

The 'Y' piece was a problem (a few years ago) and was one of the reasons for getting the Samco sets, IIRC.

I have one good one, and one unknown condition one if you want it.

As for the rest of the weekend - good to meet friends old and new - Bibs did us proud with a good pitch, and the smaller than last year size was good so our smaller turn-out didn't look lost. (even with losing a meter of our grass to NKLG who seemed to think that they needed 5 feet between their cars, not 3 feet, and had to colour co-ordinate)...

Apart from a half hour of rain yeaterday it was great weather, saw some good track action and it will be a shame if there isn't an event next year.

it took me 3 hours to get home, no holdups anywhere...... I had to pull over on the M25 when the drizzle turned to light rain which turned to rain that the wipers couldn't cope with, and felt that having a roof on would be a good idea.... obviously, 5 minutes later the rain had stopped and it was dry all the way home.

Thanks to everyone for turning up and making it a good event - oh, and Alan - The new HQ is greatly appreciated - but was awkward to get in the car for the drive home - would have been far easier if I hadn't got all the advertising, catering and living equipment as well!!!!!!
