They're from opposite direction so best place to meet them is Duxford ...

On TLF NealH was coming from Oxford but work has got in the way so he's trying to get there in afternoon.. :(

There's a couple from Bedford & Bucks area...

Yeah that was my afterthought! I don't even know how I'm getting there - my brothers coming and said he knows the way as it's near my sister-in-law's parents. So I hope he does!

See you all there then! :D

Well I hope everyone is ready for tomorrow and I look forward to meeting you all at Duxford.

It looks like we are at 54 cars, so may still need some careful parking so please don't hog space and do stay with your car until we're all sorted.

If you can find the correct change £12.60 in the piggy bank that will probably speed things up on entry.

Although it looks to be dry tomorrow it is going to be windy and Airfields by there very nature are very flat and exposed, so wear something warm or you'll be running for the hangars fairly quickly.

Martyn :)

Route has been decided, it's a bit out of the way so I'll go straight to Duxford. Aiming to get there 9-9.30 (ish!) :-D

There's no way it'll be as cold as the last meet I went to at the Bath and West showground in February!

I was just about to post the exact same picture Geoff.
So you have Kathryn Chipp Steve TrevorB and tucked at the very end somewhere is Phil. Good turnout of TLF /LEC Lotuses. It was windy and a bit chilly.

Fond memories of my first holidays abroad in the late '60's/early '70's - BAC 1-11 seemed positively modern compared to the "old" Comet 4C.....

I love that Heath Robinson car with the tarmac showing through the floor pan. The spirit of open top and open bottom driving is alive and well :burnout: And I bet it was one of the most photographed cars of the day ?

Mind you, it looks like he let Geoff do the wiring

Fantastic day out! :D
I've not taken so many photos for a long time! And I fulfilled a lifelong dream to go on Concorde, although it wasn't quite what I originally intended! :P

A big thank you to all who supported the event it's very much appreciated :) A good turn out of M100's as always it's always good to have you Guys and Girls along. If you'd like your own little spot again next year please let me know and I'll do my best to save an allocated space for you.

As always my aim is to build up this event and this year was the biggest yet :D . As always please put us in the diary for next year it's always the same weekend :)

I'm sorry about the problems some of you had getting in, we arrived at 8.50am and although the Gate opened late at 9.10am we were all in place by 9.30am which I thought was an excellent effort by IWM Duxford. Unfortunately things started to go downhill after that a subject I will raise as I guess will many others with Duxford. However to put this in to perspective I've been stuck in queues outside huge venues like Silverstone and the NEC and many others, so I'm sure those seasoned Car Show people will realise this does unfortunately go with the territory. The £12.60 was doomed from the start, however I was told this was done to bring the £10 we had been paying for the last 5+ years in line with the normal gate price. Anyway I hope all this didn't spoil your day too much and you'll still consider coming next year.

Martyn :)
