Oh right, I must have mis-read your post. Where did you get a 241 code from?

I'm trying to get Rip to go, but he says it sounds boring

That's the LDC code (Lotus Drivers Club) so you will park up infield on their site. Its usually close to Club Lotus and Historic Lotus club. Hopefully we get allocated near Village, the best place to be for viewing, beer tents and the music

Looking forward to going to Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem after an absence of 30 years

I'm probably giving CC a miss this year but will still be going to Silverstone. 11th successive year for me and The Mulester

:burnout:

I've now booked Premier Inn, £83, 2 nites for couple. May go to Silverstone alone without Minda but I'll book through LDC as their gazebos are vastly superior to CL lol . Shitlake camping £40 for 2 notes. Beats the £120 we paid last year as a couple .

Music line up

"Saturday night promises to be equally unmissable with performances from reggae legends, Aswad, and indie rockers, Scouting For Girls! With unmistakable anthems such as She’s So Lovely, Elvis Ain’t Dead and Heartbeat, Scouting For Girls are the perfect party band to help celebrate the Classic’s 30th birthday bash after sunset on Saturday"

Goodwood FoS has cancelled.

It is likely all events this year shall cancel sadly :(

Right now I should be at Goodwood for the member's weekend and party and May I have an all-inclusive, all-access Monaco invite with the team.

Sad year but if we can stay safe and well, hopefully fun times can resume before long.

Keep well everyone x

It's off. See explanation below :(

Maybe we can just organise our own LEC get together at Barnard Castle. I'm sure it would be OK as DC and his right hand man BJ says so

We promised you an update before the end of May… and it is with a heavy heart that we bring you news that the 2020 Silverstone Classic will not be going ahead.

Following the latest Government advice, we have reached the inevitable conclusion that we will need to cancel this year’s event. Given the current circumstances and the outlook on timescales, a postponed event - which was our original back-up plan - in a way that enables us to run the Classic in the manner that you know and love isn’t a feasible option. Our priority at all times is the safety and wellbeing of those attending our events as well as our own team and we know that you’ll understand why this step has been necessary. Our heartfelt thanks must go to all of you for your patience throughout this period of uncertainty.

As an independent events company passionate about what we do, we are proud to have developed the Silverstone Classic into an internationally renowned historic motorsport festival enjoyed across generations of car enthusiasts, families, racing drivers, and petrolheads. In times of difficulty, communities tend to come together and we’re incredibly grateful for your continued support. It means a lot. All of you are what makes the event the success that it is and we look forward to celebrating our 30th anniversary with you next year instead.

Your 2020 ticket

Rest assured you will have the option to roll your tickets over to the 2021 event or request a full refund. There are a number of measures we need to put in place first, but we will be back in touch with each of you in June with details of the next steps. In light of the current situation, we have a reduced team who are dealing with a high number of enquiries, so please do bear with us.

We’ll be in touch soon. In the meantime, and above all else, stay safe and healthy.

With our best wishes,

The Silverstone Classic Team
