Chris,
When I try the link I get £65 per night but I remember from last years that there were problems with people getting different prices on the website. I'm hoping that their spring sale starts soon otherwise I'll be looking for a campsite

on that web page there is a bit called 'quick reservations' which is the bit i went thru. But now i'm getting an error on that link. I can only suggest that you phone the HI direct and state that i managed to book for £49 for a double room no probs over the web and why can't you!!! See what they say. Best if you come back to this thread to let others know how you got on.

I think this is a bit like airlines. They have so many rooms at £49, once they've gone, then its £65, and then £79 and so on...
I guess the price will just keep going up..

this must be the case but i still would give East Mids HI a call to see if you can get a definitive answer - defo booked thru the quick reservations which is still showing an error. that link took you thru to the actual hotels booking system not a central reservation desk. its not our fault that their website doesn't work.

Delta,
What time will you be arriving on Friday evening? If you fancy something to eat, or even just a drink, why not join us at the Melbourne Arms where the Friday evening gathering will take place? It's not far from the Holiday Inn Express.

STOP PRESS
I have cajoled them into stopping at the Holiday Inn too.
There will be about 8 seats available. Please be at the front doors at 7.30 PM this evening, for transport to the Melbourne Arms curry.
