Le Touquet Classic Car Show

This a must for next year if you can make it. It cost £35 which included the ferry crossing. We had a great day but were sadly one of only 2 M100's at the show. Will definitely be doing it next year. We had a great BBQ and of course he weather was good.

when you say it cost £35 and that included ferry.....what else did you get??....5* hotel, four poster, bed breakfast and evening meal in the bistro with completementary free margeaux as much as you could drink...nice picnic of champagne, caviar and smoked salmon that the chef made for you on your way out......
or was it chunnel and one night on a french campsite with the old hover loos.....more like...
sounds a go for me next year too......we have friends who live near arras so it'd be a good excuse to go over for a week and do the show too!!!...
just had a look on the net and didnt find much...as per most things french on the net its a after thought with no info or its 3 years out of date....

The 35 really is just for the ferry but that is cheap. its just a good day out - Le touquet is a nice place but keep the wife away from the shops, tres expensive. what i liked about it was that it was very informal. Its only the 2nd year for the event and i can see it getting very popular. Porsche and MG were well supported. Lotus, 2 Excels, 2 Lotus Cortinas, 2 M100. The term 'classic' is loosely used as there were some quite modern cars there although no Elises

Eurotunnel supplement per car £30 Hull Zeebrugge supplement per car £169 (inc. cabin both ways)...
surely the hull zebrugge thing is the long way round for everyone.....what a strange route to put up...IIRC the ferry crossing is a bout 13 hours....
see to recall speding a good night at the var last time I used that crossing!!!

Maybe a group discount we are looking nearly a year in advance sometimes ya can get some deals if you BOOK EARLY..

I am well up for this, maybe even turn it into a weekend away..

Just a suggestion,

Dover/Calais crossing saturday for £35 (TBC)
Camping in france saturday
Show Sunday, camp sunday night
Come back Monday about noon or whatever

Plenty of room to maneovre(sp)

I am interested in the long weekend .Too far to travel from Leeds for just the day trip. Being an old fart i would also stay in a hotel .
