Brands Lotus Meet Sun 28 Jan

Postby John_W » Wed 03.01.2007, 13:37

According to Pistonheads, Lotus dealers Lipscomb will be attempting a Guinness World record for the "LARGEST PARADE OF LOTUS CARS" ever on Sunday 28th January 2007 at the Brands Hatch Circuit.

Any of you southerners want to ensure the Elan is represented?

See also here for details.

Yes we got the record on the last lap, 313 cars were being quoted as all moving in a parade format. If this is the case then we hold the GWR for single largest gathering of one motoring marque and most imprtantly this was British make held at one of the historic homes of Motor racing.

Just to bring everyone up to speed,

we have over 140 cars registered so far!(y) If anyone hasn't yet registered, we advise you do so asap by using the following link:

http://www.lipscomb.co.uk/lotus/pages/e ... ent_id=199

The magic number being 249 which is the current world record, so tell everyone you know

Invicta FM will be there and we are in the process of getting the BBC to cover the story. Members from Lotus & Lotus Motorsport will also be coming along, what they'll bring i'm not sure:o Motor Sports Vision are publicising this nationally aswell.

Format for the day is pretty much finalised, but will advise of this in due course aswell as on arrival.

Paul @ Lipscomb(y)

p.s. Thanks for everyone's help, information & support.:up

Gazza - see you there. Remember no kids on the track under the age of 14 and you must bring a full driving licence including paper piece.

Anyone else from the LEC forums going!
