since doing the cambelt and changing the other belts the pas pump is screaming I cannot get the belt any tighter no matter what i try  my question is the belt directional nothing i can see says it is :?: by the way it has air con aswell. I might try refitting the old one  ps the new one is a dayco from the the cambelt/waterpump kit from rockauto

It was slipping screaming like a bit part actress in a hammer horror film :-D i took the executive decision to refit the old belt and now all ok silence is golden :D the number on the new belt was slightly different to the old one . It was thinner as in thickness of the belt, don't know if that makes a difference to tension it or not :?:

Yes..... Look on WikiLEC under Belts. All listed there.
For water pump and tensioner idler go to Rock Auto and look up 1992 Isuzu Impulse or search on here for umpteen threads and posts re these items.
Be sure to get the correct pump with the rounded teeth not the square ones.
