Nop. yours had no tool kit. I suspect it was stolen at the salvage yard. I bought this 20 years ago they seem to be worth a lot more now!! :D

No worries :D I'm just getting itchy feet waiting for it to come back from the bodyshop - I've treated to a full repaint and re-trim - so I can't afford a toolkit just now anyway!

Sounds like your enjoying it. :D
It was a good car sounds like it will be a belter when your finished.

All the late spec M100 Elans (i.e. 5 position heater, perforated charcoal leather int, Anti dive chassis)I have owned did not have the pen knife tool kit.
This kit was from an early 1991 Norfolk Mustard Yellow SE cat B.

Cheers Mike

Rear wishbone mounting points were modified fairly early in production to reduce dive.

With regard to the wheel centres, it might help if you send which style wheel they are intended for. The SE had Oz wheels; the S2 had BBS, and IIRC, the wheel centres are different. I believe the part number you quote is for the S2 centre.

Just a thought.

Just had a look at sj sportscars, glue in ones are £32 each.
I got these for when i painted my wheels, i never did it and did not know they would not fit. I just found out.
5 new genuine lotus wheel centres are now looking cheap and these clip in.
Part number is there to check and i just said lotus elan m100.
Will pop a note on ebay that they fit the s2 car wheels.

The S2 wheel centres are a different size from the SE ones, and are no longer available. As an alternative, Steve at SJ sells Elise wheel centres if you ask for an S2 version, and he tells you before purchase that you’ll need to secure the centre to the wheel with either a turn of double sided tape, or a smear of sealant - hence “glue-in”. No other practical solution if - like me - you lose a wheel centre on the road somewhere.

Pair of rear wishbones just sold for £113.00 + £14 P+P. I bid but was automatically outbid, although as I didn't really need them, I wasn't prepared to go to much higher levels.
