wheel arch liners

Postby mickmick » Sun 04.02.2007, 14:34

probably the wrong section to put this in, but hey ho, its the way i go

anyway, tried to get my liners out today, and just incase anyone else is thinking of doing this half hour job i'll let you all know its a total twat to do (i'll let the admins edit that if they want to)

managed to get the bolt heads moving round nicely, only to find that the rubber bottomed captive nut thingies were moving round with the bolts, bloody stupid design btw, so my next plan of attack here is to wait for the cutting discs i have ordered off Ebay to turn up and then get my drill/angle grinder/cutting doofer onto the job and cut the heads off, getting access to the bits i need to get to blahhhhhhhhhh

hey ho, gonna wait for the post now and i'll put some pics up when i finally do the job

Mick

PS, i'm gonna be using the stainless fittings that Dave is supplying, they should work top dollah and not rust into a big ball of rustiness like the old ones
now i have one, i just want to keep tinkering with it!!!!!!!
sorry mum :(

What stainless fixings are these? I want to get my arch liners out and I know the daft rawlnuts will have seized.

Aha, found them now and have PM'd Dave.
