Hardtop from Derek Dean?

Postby Don.Hasi » Sun 26.01.2014, 12:44

I have come along a greater bunch of old Club Lotus mags. In one issue there was a rumour that Derek Dean a former Lotus dealer and specialist was on the way to sell hardtops. The article was in a manor that the developing already was done and selling should begin. In the back of the picture was a hardtop seen which looks very most like the stock hardtop were shown on these days.

Does anybody know what has happened to these?

He used to have a showroom in Ruislip going back a few years.....

....I bought my old Elite 503 from him in 1989!

Just the one now, but this one's mine! - and it will be finished eventually..... - but also temporary custodian of a project until it is finished enough for Angie to drive it

...oh, and a 2006 Freelander destined for the jungles of The Gambia - 4500 miles across roads, desert and tracks - what could possibly go wrong?
