Hi chaps
I've just bought an M100 Elan and I've been advised I should try and acquire a shower cap. We've got one for our Elise but Elemental don't make them for the M100.
Any idea where I can get one?
By the way, thanks in advance of all the silly questions I'm probably going to ask. Got a few Lotus but excited about picking it up soon..

Welcome. Show us some pictures of your new car.
For the shower cape have a look at the most recent thread here:
viewtopic.php?f=21&t=26431If that doesn’t suit, use the “search” facility at the top right of the page.

Hi John
I'll post some when I pick it up - probably at the weekend. Thanks I'll have a look at that thread
Thanks Steve
I did try the search facility before posting but I couldn't see anything newer than about 5 years ago. Probably my bad spelling
Not from Essex but I love Essex Lotus Esprits (and M100 Elans)

I will be attempting to make a shower cape (WillB type) later in the year. If the prototype is successful I will be going into small scale production

I bought mine earlier this year from Classic Additions it was the XS (extra small half cover) £49 delivered I think and is pretty good stayed on the car during the worst of the winds but better if you have the rear facing into the wind as seems more secure. Simple to fit with only two straps at either end and pockets for the mirrors, had to tighten the elastic straps by making a loop with a tie wrap but other than that ideal for the price.

Well I may not have the car (I pick it up tomorrow) but I have a cover. I ended up buying a half cover from "every car covered" cost was £48 and looks ok but I guess the proof of the pudding will be in how well it fits.
Thanks for all your suggestions

I have a rough one , home made from a cheap one.
wanted to work with the hood & windows down but not putting any studs in the car.
I cut two holes to poke the mirrors through and tucked front under wipers.
Would have been better in quality material & mod to tuck the back under the Hood cover.
really wanted a Toneau cover.
Good luck with your efforts
See that in the sky is it a Tesla No it's a Mitsubishi MU-2 in Lotus ,Black & Gold
