How to get color receipe?

Hi All,
i am about to respray my elan, which has the color code , B16 , empire green.
Here there are usually computer, if you type in brand of the car and color code it gives the correct mixture..
However most of the colors that are in the system for Lotus are post 1999, so i cannot find my color mixture.

They can do a trial mix, but i dont want to do that! Does anyone know how to get the mix?
Maybe it is easier in the UK?
Your help is appreciated.. If it makes a difference the paintshop will use MaxMeyer paint, also any comments on that?

Hi Sinan,

I had this problem when I got mine painted as it is a 'non standard' colour......

..... however, if you ask your paint mixer to look in the General Motors (Opel/Vauxhall) page of his book you will find that "GM355" is the 'Official' colour code - listed as "Opel Imperial Green Pearl Mica - Opel/Lotus Carlton"...... it also has the Vauxhall code of 36L, but the paint factor I used had the GM355 number his system.

I am happy with the colour - but as it was originally Pacific Blue I can't say how exact the match is....... I have parked next to an Empire Green one at both Castle combe and Hethel, and it looked the same to me.

The issue with the name is because it was originally a Vauxhall/Opel colour, but only used on the Lotus Carlton..... When Opel named it Imperial Green, and the Carltons were painted, it was not a problem. But when Lotus wanted to use the same colour on Esprit/Elan/Elise (as a special order) they were not able to call it Imperial Green as GM had already got the name, so they called it Empire Green.... but it is the same paint colour/composition.
