Hi
Where can I pick up the jacking point large diameter washer incorporating the hexagonal bolt. Any likely sources?
Thanks.

David,
The bolts in my jacking points are not hex-head but are Allen bolts with a slightly tapered round head. I found that I could re-use them but if they had needed replaced I would have used a cap-headed Allen bolt which would provide sufficient location for the scissor-jack.
The large washer on mine was rusted beyond redemption, so I replaced it with a large square zinc-plated washer about 1/10” thick and 1.5” to 2” square that I had in the garage. (I think it came from B&Q!) It takes the jacking load fine.

Looking on DeRoure, they seem to be obsolete.
DeroureIf you need a rusty one that will need sand blasting and cad plating / painting I can send you one for the postage costs from Bahrain to France. Looks like surface rust and not too deep.
but as John said, it's an Allen head and not a hex head.

Interesting...
There’s no tie-down loop on any of my jacking points, and there’s no evidence of them ever having been there.

Maybe it was a ROW / US car thing? Both my car and the donor car have them. the DeRoure link also shows them fitted Itm 12.

Silly me, too quick in sending - of course it's an Allen bolt (slightly rounded). Yes something zinc-plated (and strong) might do the trick.
Wayne - that's a strange contraption!! Thanks for your offer but I think I'll try and fix it otherwise.
I'll continue looking.
Thanks

Or maybe it was a dealer thing…

Mine came originally from Frosts of Chichester (via Bell & Colvil). Maybe they read the memo!

Interesting, I wasn't aware of this accessory.
That makes sense it's for transit only since the jack cannot seat properly on the washer with it still installed!

The Dealer Pre Delivery Inspection gives instruction to remove them - I think its written in the Workshop Manual.
That could be the only one in existence Wayne.

That explains a lot Simon. Thanks.
Typical of the dealer here not to RTFM. That said, it was the Ferrari dealer that imported the cars
It does make jacking interesting. Will probably remove them from my car.

No' I can't see how you could safely use the OEM scissor jack with that in place

I'd get them removed as quickly as possible Wayne

You could have custom Stainless steel ones made by these people:
https://www.lasermaster.co.uk/easy-order - I wish I had known about them before I handmade titanium ones.
